A small drawback is the room itself was a little smaller than anticipated, but it never proved to be a real issue -- we just needed to be more careful with how we spread our stuff out when packing/unpacking, and the closet included in the room proved to be a great place to store our suitcases when not in use.

Our host, Joan, was extremely friendly and accommodating. Our room had all the amenities we needed and had a lovely view of the sea. Across the hall from us was a comfortably furnished lounge that would be an excellent place to visit with others if traveling in a group. For breakfast, a variety of cereal, meats, cheeses, yogurt and pastries was available, as well as fresh coffee/tea and toast. It took less than 5 minutes to get to Oban (10 minutes to get the the ferry port where we went on a tour).

There was nothing I personally didn't like, but it may not be suitable for guests with mobility impairments as it is high up from the main centre of Oban. It is fine if you have access to motor transport, although the centre of Oban is restricted in terms of car parking.

A very warm and friendly welcome. Exceptionally clean and comfortable room with good facilities. An excellent and varied continental breakfast, including a lot of fresh produce. Very reasonably priced.

Beautifully presented classic Scottish home. Very friendly host, with nothing too much trouble. Fantastic location, a couple of minutes' walk from the main street, and off-street parking.

Our bedroom was very small and hard to walk around. We are tall so it felt cramped. However, with the lounge area and so much to do in Oban we weren't in the room except to sleep. Also, it's a hard property to locate, navigation didn't work. Finally my I Phone got us there.

The owner was very hospitable and kind. She made such sure we had wonderful breakfasts. Property was very clean and looked like a recent remodel with comfortable furniture and great views from both breakfast and lounge areas.

Very clean and comfortable room with ensuite and an impressive selection of continental breakfast items.. Joan is very helpful and friendly and goes that extra mile to ensure you enjoy your stay. I would definitely recommend it.

Although it was a continental breakfast, the selection of quality items was very extensive - second to none. Very comfortable room and a beautiful guest lounge. A lovely welcome from Joan and nothing was too much trouble.

I understand that tariffs are charged per room, on the basis of being able to accommodate two guests but this is hard on solo travellers. However I will certainly return on my next visit to Oban.

Joan was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. The property is beautiful and furnished to a high standard. I enjoyed the outdoor space with the lovely views. The breakfast was very good.

a very warm welcome from a lovely lady who is clearly very experienced in making her guests feel comfortable without too much fuss. the room was just big enough for us, mattress great. shower was a good one for an electric shower. there's a guest lounge with views over the harbour. breakfast was good and varied.

What a wonderfull view from the bedroom to the waterside of Oban and what a lovely place to stay. Besided the view also very wel located with all nice things to see on short walking distance. The lady of the house was very friendly and made us feel very welcome and provided us with a very nice room and a good breakfast.

Easy to find in a great location. Our host was very accommodating as we had to delay our stay by a day due to car issues. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Our room was warm, bed comfortable. Just great.

As soon as I walked through the door Joan was there to welcome me. She is a fabulous host. I was up early at 5.30 in the morning as I was there on a diving weekend which meant I would miss breakfast. Joan put a basket of food/breakfast things the night before at the doorstep of my room to make sure I didn't go hungry. Fabulous location. You will not regret staying here!

Room was very nice, comfortable and a big bathtub was made available next door. Breakfast was very standard but nice. Location was great, an easy 5 minute walk to downtown Oban. Great views of the harbor.
