Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Lodge had everything we needed for our wee break. Super comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, spacious livingroom with cosy comfy sofas and lovely throws to snuggle in. Accessible bathroom and shower which was ideal for my mum. Outdoor seating to catch the sun which was happily shining for our stay. Fire pit if you fancied a wee bbq and of course the fabulous hot tub. Cat is an amazing host and such a really lovely friendly lady and can’t forget all the wonderful fluffs who she adores and in my opinion she is the best farmer. Such a peaceful and enjoyable stay in beautiful countryside. My wee Lotto was an angel ( as were all the animals) and the Spotty Crew and Wilma were a delight. If you haven’t visited yet then get yourselves there. I was living my best life 🥰

United KingdomNothing not too like, maybe just the sharp end of a goats horn! But even though they like to play headbutting games they are still lovely.
My children absolutely loved all the animals especially Cat's dogs and the lambs especially Limpit who they bottle fed many times along with some other lambs and had lots of cuddles with. Inky the sheep was another favourite of theirs, I must say I never new sheep could be so cute! The farm tour we done with Cat was great and got to see not just sheep but the goats, newly hatched chicks from that day, the peahen with her chicks, got to meet the horses and ponies too, while always being accompanied by the Dalmatians - they love to get in on the action!

United KingdomA wonderful trip with my son (10 yo) The lodge was spotlessly clean and fully equipped for our stay. The hot tob was a lovely addition, and the beds were so comfortable that we struggled to wake up in the mornings. My son absolutely loved all the animals, from the dogs to the horses. He really enjoyed being able to come and go into the lamb and goat pens as he pleased and got the chance to feed the lambs, which was wonderful. He especially enjoyed running around with the goats, and they're playful nature. We even got the chance to feed the horses and bigger sheep some treats. Cat was a lovely host, and it's very clear the passion she has for the animals. This is an ideal break for families with younger children or couples alike, set in lovely surroundings. We would highly recommend it, and my son is already asking when we're going back.

IrelandOur only disappointment was when time came to leave. But we will definetly return in the future.
There are so many positive things to say about our stay but we'll focus on the key aspects. The host is so friendly and helpful to guests and deserves great credit for everything she does for the rescued animals on the farm; it all combines to a wonderfully positive atmosphere. The possibility for supervised interaction with some of the animals was an unexpected bonus. Time spent in the hot tub, being amused by the animals in the adjacent fields, certainly contributed greatly to us feeling refreshed, recharged and revitalised after our short stay.

We enjoyed meeting all the animals - Cat's passion shines through telling us all their rescue stories! Highlight was feeding the baby goats and the gorgeous wee kan-kan 🐑 all under the watchful eye Dali the dalmatian! We will definitely be back for a longer stay next time! The setting was absolutely beautiful in a farmyard/rustic way. The Lodge itself was warm and inviting, with 2 big comfy sofas, excellent beds and charming well equipped kitchen in a basic way.
