Bizarrely we were given a room for disabled guests and the staff on the front desk were rude and unhelpful - which was a great shame

Room was a little tired looking. And price was a little steep due to event being on at Hydro.

Close to Hydro as we were attending an event.Room was clean and nice view of the river. Nice to have a fridge in room.Added bonus of seeing the Waverley paddle steaming setting off in the morning. Staff were amazing, friendly and efficient. Restaurant was good, quick service, great staff and lovely food. Breakfast was also good, good choice and happy staff.

during this briefest of stays there was no point at which I felt disappointed, not catered for or needing anything that wasn't available.

The breakfast was well prepared, presented &; adequately refreshed as necessary.... the facilities at the venue were well spaced &:catered for a broad set or disciplines....the bar & reception were both well stocked & adequately staffed with pleasant & helpful employees.

Shower over the bath. Water went everywhere. Shampoo etc not positioned at the right place, kept hitting my back off it. Not an enjoyable shower experience. We paid almost £300 for our overnight stay and feel we deserved a roomy cubicle shower for that money.

Room very comfortable and spacious. Check in/out straightforward.

I did feel that the room could have been cleaner. There was significant amounts of dust and stains on carpet. Bathroom although main usage areas I.e. sink, bath and loo were spotless there were white splash stains up the back of the door.

Professional but friendly positive staff. Superb views and location woth great transport links I.e. train, taxi, bus. Beautiful outdoor spot for drinks and light lunch. Breakfast was great, good selection of hot and cold foods and variety of drinks, well replenished. Bedding was super soft. Gordon in room which was well needed this weekend.

No coffee available from bar after 11pm because cleaned the machine. Not acceptable from this type of hotel. Bedroom pillows very uncomfortable

Not much things that I did not like really. The shower could have been beter, I prefer to have a real shower and not just a bathtub used as a shower. But in general, good place to stay (mostly for business).

Nice room with a river view. Large beds. The fact that there were free water bottles that were refilled everyday was just amazing service! I loved the swimming-pool with the jacuzzi and the sauna. Direct entrance to the conference center was a great plus (when you are participating to the conference). Very nice overall experience!

The cost of an overnight stay.

Liked having ample parking and staff were friendly, with lovely breakfast. We were also offered the upgrade to the lounge. We were visiting family so location was great. Take That were playing at the Hydro and even though the hotel was busy there was not a lot of noise overnight.

Paid for room on arrival in cash, staff member kept getting confused with the denominations and twice insisted I had not given her enough (which I indeed had). In the end I had to count it out for her!

With all the lovely food on offer, plus (expensive) individual glass jars of HP sauce, Heinz ketchup and Hellman’s mayonnaise, why water down the fresh orange and apple juices in the mornings?

Staff were exceptional. Bar and restaurant area were spotless and well-staffed and food was also excellent. Buffet breakfast; choice was great for young and old and food fresh and hot.

The sofa bed in the suite wasn’t great quality. It could do with a sturdier mattress as you could feel the frame through it. The dinner was fine however service was so slow. The servers seemed very inexperienced.

A minor issue, only one lift working!

Lift didn’t work well and refused to work even with a few people on it. Also long cues to get in the lift at checkout/ breakfast time etc. Took stairs at one point but clearly not meant for guest use.

Location, cleanliness and comfort. Decent food and good service.

Expensive for a basic room although room was clean and adequate.

Good location about 30 mins walk to city centre, staff friendly and helpful. Good comfortable bar area with views of the river.
