Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesBed wasn't very comfortable, sheets were too small and kept popping off. Microwave was impossible to figure out, you need to leave instructions on how to use it as the buttons weren't intuitive. Washer/dryer really only worked for a very small load and still took 3-4 hours to complete a wash/dry cycle. Note that it has only the one bathroom and it's nowhere near the bedrooms, it's down the hallway across from the dining table. It would have been nice to have been stocked with more than the 1/2 roll of toilet paper, I had to buy more on day 2!
Location was great, just off the North Parade. Easy access to restaurants, shops, and sights. A short walk from the train station. Generally not too noisy. Loved the outside garden although we didn't get to use it much because of the weather.

United KingdomBlack out blinds would be amazing, the current Roman blinds in the bedrooms don’t block out the light enough.
We liked the location, easy walking distance to the shops but quiet location. The garden was lovely! Very short walking distance from the nearest car park (Manvers street) which helps when you have luggage.

Fabulous Georgian house with access to a patio area and a walled garden. 5 minutes walk to bars and restaurants, the river and a park. 10 minutes walk to all the attractions and shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. We'll fitted and equipped kitchen.

AustraliaIt was not clear that the place does not have any car access, and you needed to plan your arrival to ensure you can find parking in the area. So suggest there is better guidance on where to park to unload. etc... Use South Parade Street to park and unload bags as this is a quiet dead-end street. Best parking is the Manvers Street Car Park

United KingdomThe bathroom is in real need of attention. The shower hardly works at all and should be updated. There’s a little bit of meanness apparent everything - small ancient towels with stains, just one dishwasher tablet and one solitary coffee pod between the four of us
The living room is great, it’s got a brilliant garden, the main bedroom is nicely furnished and the kitchen has a lot of light. Easy access and great location.
