We liked everything!

The reception staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel had a lovely atmosphere and the food was superb. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Drinks service afternoon of arrival was a bit slow when the bar wasn't very busy.

Staff were so friendly and professional. Breakfast was very good and service was too. Hotel accommodated an early check in which was really helpful for our plans.

Some problems with organisation at breakfast. Some friends didn't get theirs at all, sadly we had to complain. All was good till then. Sorted by giving all group complimentary food and drink but it sort of spoilt our stay.

It was a convenient reach to the Norwich City Centre and well connected with multiple buses. I got upgraded to a larger room upon arrival and when I got to my room it was well stocked with biscuits and a selection of teas and even hot chocolate. Definitely would stay again.

The bedroom was bright all night. It was lucky I bought an eye mask. I would ask the hotel if they could turn off the outdoor lights at night and these come on on a sensor only for security/safety reasons.

The positives were that the room looked as good as the pictures. The small touches were noticed - such as bathroom toiletries, tea, biscuits, and air con!

Parking was a bit of an issue due to a party booking. Staff were very helpful getting us parked

Second time we have stayed here, love the close proximity to the city centre. Delighted we had been upgraded to an air conditioned room.

The floor was a bit slippery (but very clean), some minor cosmetic things but nothing to really write home about

The car park is a little small but we were always able to find a space . We usually stay in an Executive room , and missed the excellent coffee pod machine coffee. There is a tea , coffee and hot chocolate tray in the standard rooms which was also good , but we've been spoilt by the coffee machine!

The hotel is conveniently located close to the University of East Anglia where we were visiting for our son's graduation. The staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly, and they made our stay are memorable by being so genuinely accommodating with our requests for everything from last minute sandwiches and prosecco, to filling our water bottles when we left . The rooms were clean, beds very comfortable and the bar and restaurant offered a well balanced, fresh and delicious menu . Thank-you to everyone at The George, especially Nad, and Michelle and the F&B team .

The breakfasts are very good, except for the croissants, which tend to be stale.

Lovely room, really comfortable bed, beautiful hotel in a quiet but central location. My go-to when staying in Norwich. The best thing of all about the George is the team. Each member of staff is so friendly and helpful - they go above and beyond to look after guests.

The top pillows were a bit firm and lumpy. It felt like the pillows themselves had been packed into small pillowcases.

Beautifully decorated hotel, friendly, attentive staff. Room was clean. Food in the restaurant was delicious. Not far from the town centre.

Tucked away & quiet, breakfast excellent, lovely decor, staff friendly. Lovely rooms, especially with the air con (much needed!). Bit of a walk into city but was worth it for the peaceful surroundings.
