The Gateway Lodge is a little gem. Our room was a good size, clean, quiet and the bed comfortable. Jimmy our host was lovely and helped us out by storing some of our belongings while we were in Ireland. It's in a fantastic location, close to the airport and walking distance to a couple of bus routes to get into central Liverpool so we didn't have to drive. I would definitely stay again.

There are not many dining options nearby for those without a car, but you can get a bus or walk to other areas such as Hunts Cross where there are more options.

The welcome was friendly, the room was large and comfortable, and the location (for the airport) excellent - just a 10-minute walk to the terminal.

Jimmy, the host, was very friendly and informative. Clean room with good shower and comfortable bed. Some good restaurants within a ten to fifteen drive away. Would stay again if in the area.

All was perfect. This accommodation is the best place what I have been so far in my life. The owner of the Lodge very polite lovely man. He arranged a taxi in the morning, it was very helpful too. Room was amazing clean +the bathroom too. The bed was very comfortable too. I had a lovely relaxing night thanks for you Jimmy.

No breakfast there, tea and coffee was in the room. The reason why I have been choose Getaway Lodge it's very close to the LPL airport. I had a late flight, first time in Liverpool so it's better to be safe in the evening in unknown town and this hotel was the best nearest one to the airport.

I can’t say anything negative, it was ideal for us as a base to go to a match while close to the airport.

It was convenient to airport for early morning flight. We got a bus from a stop quite close to the property. We could have walked or got a taxi but bus was handy. Room was clean and comfortable, we did turn down the heating on the first night. We were also able to get a bus nearby to city center and a quick change of bus got us close to Anfield for a match. Coffee/ teas in the room but not suitable for meals. There’s a Premier Inn nearby also where we ate on one evening. There were other restaurants nearby but again this was handy. Host met us on arrival and was friendly and helpful. It was good value for money for us.

im not a great sleeper w hen away from home ,but i had a great nights sleep at gateway. jimmy the owner was very helpfull and a nice guy..i was suprised at how close it was to the airport 10 min walk ,saved on taxis. also i left my car at the gateway which saved on airport parking. local shops at bottom of the road..home from home.

Walking distance from the airport. Ideal. Great room and shower. Very helpful host re late arrival. If you just using Liverpool airport as your base to travel onwards. This accommodation ideal.

There is nothing to dislike. Met all my needs.

Perfect location if not traveling with too many bags as the airport is walking distance. Very handy for nights before departure and or late arrival. Staff were very friendly.

Nothing bad to say about the property at all.

The location was perfect, close to the airport at a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive. The room and facilities were extremely clean and tidy!
