We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesI was originally given a room which had not been cleaned yet. When I was given a clean room, I opened the door and it was 26 degrees in there. The windows didn’t open, and with all of the windows in the seating area, it was like a sauna in there.
The history of the hotel was really cool to see. It was like a maze getting to my room. I was in room 12 and I had a little seating area nook with windows all around. It was lovely, but warm, to sit there after a long day hiking.

New ZealandOld style English hotel with classic creaky floors, but rooms very clean and well equipped. Restaurant provided excellent food, booking ahead maybe needed. Excellent outside area for a relaxing drink in Summer, bit cold to use in Autumn when we were there. Sited within easy drive of many Speyside distilleries.

United KingdomForeign lady at the bar continued washing glasses for 5 minutes whilst we waited to be served, eventually she did serve us. The food was poor quality. Breakfast was a complete farce, no yoghurt, toast, no glasses. Teapot brought to table with no cups or milk. Had to ask for bread for toast. No bowls, no plates…. Bad service.
Accessible on our onward journey. Room de ent size too

IrelandThere was a throwaway comment made at reception, as we were checking in, about “new owners” and bills. We didn’t manage to glean whether these were recent new owners, or new owners from midnight or what exactly, but it was a bit odd 🤷♂️ Maybe if we’d gone to the bar we would have found out more. Neither of us felt convinced that the sausage on our “full Scottish” breakfast was completely cooked. The bacon rashers were tepid. Overall a bit of a disappointing brekkie 😕
Spacious car park, comfortable room, if up rather more stairs than would be ideal for us now. Tbf this is a relatively new issue for us, we never used to be bothered by a few stairs, but age changes things.
