Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI stayed here when walking the West Highland Way with a group of friends. Kelly went above and beyond and made us feel very welcome. We opted for the slow cooker option which was great and the breakfast got us ready for the long day ahead. Such a fantastic view from the hotel tub and just generally around everywhere you look. There's a variety of animals on the farm which Kelly was very knowledgeable about and if you like bird watching there was a good variation and the RSPB station nextdoor is a good indicator. We wondered to the bunkhouse down the road which had a great selection of food and drink. Unfortunately my friend left his watch behind and Kelly kindly posted it back to him.

United KingdomA steep walk up the road off the west highland way. Breakfast was packet/processed which was a shame as the rest of our experience was very good.
Owner was very friendly and helpful. Delicious stew! Comfortable and warm

United KingdomWe weren't quite prepared for our long, difficult drive from Skye to get there.
The quirkiness, the history behind the Garrison. The location was good if you like isolation, plenty of walks, beautiful scenery. The minibar was most welcome, good supply of utensils and crockery. The bathroom/shower was good.

United KingdomIt is an uphill walk from the WHW ;-)
Kelly went out of her way to make sure we were well looked after. She is clearly a lover of animals and has some very sweet animals on her farm. I would highly recommend arranging a tour of the farm with her, it was well worth the extra cost. We used this as a WHW stop off, but it seemed a shame that we were just passing through because there were a lot of other great looking hikes in the area!

United KingdomThat it was in the middle of nowhere and actually really loved the fact that there was no phone signal. So was able to completely switch off for the weekend. Loved that there was board games to play and loved how friendly vicky was :)

United KingdomA little confusion with our booking when we first arrived but all quickly resolved.
Beautiful quiet location with stunning views. Hot tub was a lovely end to the day after walking part of the West Highland Way. Evening meal was delicious and breakfast was even better - loads of choice and the best breakfast we've had for a long time. Set us up well for another long day's walk.

United KingdomNothing. Everything was perfect.
My partner and myself absolutely loved it here. The Host Kelly was amazing. The bed was really comfortable. We met the Highland cows on site and had a stroke under supervision. The scenery around the farm is absolutely breathtaking. Looking to book up for my birthday in June for the weekend.

The location is amazing nice and quiet stunning views, beautiful room clean and comfy. The hot tub is great I can't explain how peaceful it is to sit and relax in warm bubbles while taking in such breath taking scenery. We did the tour which I learned so much about the animals, you can clearly see how passionate Kelly is about them. My highlight definitely the highland cows. Couldn't fault it at all!!

United KingdomWifi didn't work at all in the room. Not really a problem as it was nice not to be connected for a few days but I have a 4 year old who wasn't with us so I did need to go out to the hut to check my phone often.
Location was absolutely stunning and the hot tub was incredible! It was really traditional decor which was cute. Loved having the little hut with snacks and drinks and stuff to buy.

Czech RepublicThe only complaint we have is that there were strange noises in the walls of the room, probably caused by the pipes with the heating system.
WOW!!! Now that's a hit! Kelly and Paul are doing a great job! We did a roundtrip around Scotland so only stayed 2 nights, but I can see this accommodation for a much longer time. The breakfast you get is made from ingredients grown in the garden and it is amazing! The hot tub is really great especially on clear nights when you can see the whole starry sky with no light smog. I also have to mention The Kelly Kettle, a small self-service shack for passing tourists as well, where Kelly will make you a proper espresso on request.
