Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaRoom was facing side street but pub across the road and people standing outside talking at 1:00 am. Staff emptying their bottles into garbage very noisy too. Rooms seemed to have thin walls as we were woken at 3:00 am with loud arguing that I had to report to reception which they dealt with. The area had people sitting on the hotel steps drinking & smoking. A few homeless sleeping outside shops.
Close to train station, shops, pubs, trams & buses. Staff very helpful.

United KingdomThe hotel feels dated, like it could do with a good redecoration to freshen it up. The room temperature was way too hot. There was a fan, however. Cleaning staff were exceptionally noisy outside our room. The water temperature was insane, I scalded my leg and foot in the shower.
The location was great, the staff friendly

United KingdomI was displeased with the room's worn-out appearance. The hotel rooms require refurbishment to bring them up to date with modern standards.
The receptionist was friendly and checked us in smoothly. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the station, but for a bit more money, you could opt for a more modern room in a different hotel. Although this was the cheapest option available at the time of booking, the cost is still high considering the rooms' worn condition.

United KingdomThe shower was quite tricky to use, either freezing or too hot so quite temperamental and stiff dials but to be expected with an older building.

United KingdomThe room was a little faded, but otherwise clean and comfortable. The WiFi was really patchy, I had maybe one or two spots in the room where I could get a weak signal.
It's a really great location, right by one of the big stations and within walking distance of the attractions. The staff were really friendly and the check in/out was really quick and easy.

United KingdomConfiguration of bathroom. The door position needs investigating. Fortunately it was a single bedroom. The shower taps are very awkward to use. If you had a problem with your grip they would be difficult to turn.
Location and closeness to amenities and Piccadilly station. Nice friendly and cheerful staff. Very informative and polite. An excellent breakfast was served it was substantial, fresh and tasty.

United KingdomThe room looked very tired and dated, with a hole in the desk and enamel coming off of the bath/shower, while there was also a slight dip in the bathroom floor so when we checked in, the floor still had a small pool of water from where it had been cleaned. Lightning in the room consisted of one desk lamp and one up lighter lamp, would have preferred more light. There are only 3 plug sockets in the room, with none being near the bedside cabinet. As the TV and kettle are usually plugged in, it leaves little option to charge electronic equipment.

United KingdomOur room was just next to the Rat and Pidgeon and this Friday night when we stayed the loud music inside the pub went on til 2am in the morning so we didn't get much sleep!
The room was ok and comfortable but the curtains let in some light at night as they wouldn't fully pull on.

United KingdomThe hairdryer was dated. The room was very noisy as it was facing the street, not so much the traffic but with people screaming and shouting at 4am. The windows couldn't be opened. There was also a lack of power points and none near the bedside.
The hotel was in a good location near to the town and the trams. Good free service to the Co op Arena. The room was large and comfortable, extra pillows if you needed them. Nice bathroom with bath and shower. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was good with a good choice of food
