My personal opinion I would have had a hand rail to help get into the shower.

The location was perfect for us. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy albeit a bit dated ie no USB points, quite dark decor and no storage drawers. The bed was very comfortable and bedding was good quality. Breakfast was very good with plenty of variety.

The breakfast was slightly disappointing. I went down for breakfast earlier than initially anticipated. There seemed to be only three members of staff on serving breakfast, and considering it was very busy I feel it could have benefitted from an extra pair of hands. When breakfast arrived it was certainly piping hot, as was the plate, but it tasted as though it had been cooked some time previously. I assumed that as it was a 'cooked to order' menu, it would have been freshly cooked. Otherwise - it may as well have been a buffet style breakfast that you help yourself to and is presented on a servery. No eggs on offer with the Scottish breakfast, but available on the Menu elsewhere. Strange... A perfectly adequate breakfast, but the only area to have disappointed in the accommodation as a whole. It would not put me off returning though.

Loved the external area, very welcoming, and well maintained. Staff very friendly and efficient, room (39) immaculately clean, same with the bathroom. I enjoyed the use of the Spa, as I had booked a Spa afternoon. That too was immaculately clean and a very relaxing experience, with a calm, quiet ambience.

Easy to access the ferry terminal at Ardrossan so good situation. Dog friendly although had to walk the length of the corridor to exit which would have been good to have a separate exit to gardens

The room was directly opposite the laundry room which was busy. Lots of comings and goings, with a laundry truck collection in the morning. The laundry staff were lovely but I don't understand, why reception would chose to put a guest in those rooms, when there are other rooms available. On check-out I mentioned this, in case they didn't know. But they did and said to me if I want a quiet room, I just have to ask for one. My tip - always ask for a quite room!

Breakfast was tasty - although I always think the best way to start a conversation is - have you stayed with us before? There are so many different options for breakfasts these days, it gives the hotel to explain the service and menus available for breakfast.

The first day breakfast was quit poor. Scrambled egg was just worm beans cold. Not nice at all. Staff that morning was useless as event didn’t know what’s grounded coffee. The second day was absolutely different. Can’t Complain at all.

The spa centre was disappointing and we were charged £20 each to use it for an hour on our first night, although we were allowed to use the next day. No swimming pool! The large jacuzzi was only warm, not hot. Puddles of water on the floor that didn’t drain away could be a breeding ground for Verucas/athletes foot. The spa centre was very small. Overall for such a stunning hotel to have such a poor quality spa was disappointing. The showers were very good though. They had an offer called the twilight offer at £10 for 2 hours and we weren’t offered this. I felt cheated.

The room was nice and comfortable with a large bed and nice facilities. Breakfast was good. Staff helpful and friendly.

The TV was not working properly and no one knew how to fix the problem they did however ask would we like another room we had reported tv at 3pm and asked at 8pm would we like to change rooms

No hot water for bathing/showering in the evening or first thing in the morning. Public areas were quite cold. Some Sockets in bedroom didn't work to charge phone

We booked a night away as I have a newborn baby and my partner and I wanted a nice relaxing night & a good nights sleep. Our room was above the restaurant/ bar area which played music till late hours. I had to get out of bed and go down to the restaurant to turn it down. Not the best!

The hotel was beautiful and lovely location. Nicely decorated rooms.

The restaurant prices were far too expensive and it was not a good selection on the menu. The cooked breakfast in the morning was very disappointing.

VERY NOISY can hear every little movement Didn’t help there was very loud “neighbours” but that wasn’t the hotels fault! Just thin walls, could hear conversations being had, doors closing, people walking about, all very very clearly. This is the only thing to fault. However, being a light sleeper, this didn’t affect my sleep as the comfy bed & pillows made up for it!

Such a calm vibe, stunning decor, comfy bed, lovely staff. THE FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE
