Excellent and would certainly visit again

One slight niggle simply because of some inconsiderate guests is that the Hotel entrance and Veranda should be marked as a No Smoking area. We were sat on the bench near the entrance enjoying the evening sunshine with a glass of wine watching sun sink in the west when a fellow guest stepped outside to have a cigarette. It was very unpleasant for a short while and there is plenty of outside space in the adjacent car park for this obnoxious habit.

Excellent vegetarian breakfast and plenty of options for cooked or continental and very prompt and friendly service

Hard to find anything that could be improved on, a very pleasant and well run hotel.

first class location ,friendly and helpful staff ,nice comfortable and warm hotel. The food was very good both breakfast and evening meal. The evening meal is in the Bay View Restaurant which is very popular with locals( always a good sign). Varied range of options and a good bar. Lovely grounds to walk around, very peaceful scenic.

I'm a t-shirt in winter kind of guy, so even in late summer I was melting in the room. Available material for nearby attractions etc. was lacking considering that this was in the middle of nowhere.

Room was bright, spacious and modern. Breakfast was in with the price and was very nice. Dinner in the bar & restaurant was lovely. Sunday lunch was good value for money. Location was perfection.

Suggestion of slightly larger tea pots for two cups of tea at breakfast and individual coffee pots for coffee drinkers at breakfast.

An excellent location and very tastefully furnished hotel. The welcome and handling by all staff were exceptional. The restaurant food was excellent, using local produce. Adapting the menu slightly for my needs was not an issue at all. (The fish was delicious and the pannacotta was the best ever, anywhere!)

Peacefulness of the place and the courteousness and helpfulness of ALL staff.

I'm not sure I would have described the room as 'Deluxe'. There were marks on the upholstery that needed cleaning and the table and desk was looking a bit shabby. The mattress was rather soft and lumpy (might suit some people but not us!)

I booked a room termed, 'Deluxe Room with a King-size bed and Sea Views'. The sea-views exceeded my expectations. The general cleanliness of the room and hotel was excellent. Breakfasts were very good with a reasonable choice of foods. The staff we came across couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and gave us lots of information about the area and the hotel's history.

There was a separate breakfast room, which was tastefully decorated, showing the original mouldings. However, for guests there was no seating lounge, especially for inclement weather where one could relax, especially after dinner.

The Bar/Restaurant had been very attractively furnished and decorated, giving a nod with old photos and paintings etc. to the past. The hall gave a good first impression.

    All was perfect.

My wife and two children had a great stay that perfectly matched my expectations for the price. Room 15 was clean and well-maintained, with a good shower and comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and the ambiance was pleasant. Breakfast was exceptional, and the dinners we had in the restaurant on both nights were equally impressive.
