Nothing major but you could feel the springs on mattress of the double bed that we slept on.

We stayed there for 7 days and have to say that Tony and Adele were a really nice couple who were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They generously upgraded us to a bigger room. Rooms were decent , clean and comfortable with plenty of different pillow shapes. Room temperature was perfect. Breakfast was really delicious. We would definitely recommend this place and thank you to Tony and Adele for being amazing hosts.

Nothing - everything was super

We booked at the very last minute, and Adele & Tony were super hosts from the moment we walked through the front door. Even though it was very last minute, they upgraded us to a bigger room that was immaculate. Everything has been thought through in the rooms, beautiful clean & fresh linen, pillows that are divine to sleep on, PG Tips teabags next to the kettle (always a winner!), the most wonderful mirror in the bathroom for doing make up in! We had breakfast both mornings we were there & it was superb. Full English cooked fresh, arriving at the table piping hot! If extra is wanted Tony & Adele are more than happy to rustle some more up. All areas of the hotel are clean & tidy, and it’s clear the love and time that Tony & Adele have ploughed in to it. The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the front, a fantastic location and exactly what we’d hoped for. However, once you’re tucked up in bed you’d never know - we had two restful, quiet nights sleep. We’d highly recommend the Franklin to anyone who are looking for an excellent location with excellent hosts. We’ll be back!

Stayed here few times now as the location is fantastic so close to main town. Staff were great and so accommodating even doing breakfast earlier for us on first day due to competitions that day. Nice clean rooms and beds were comfy

Our stay at the franklin hotel was great, even caterd for my 8 month old baby down to travel cot and also high chair for breakfast. The breakfast was amazing had a choice of cereal & toast followed by a full english with tea, coffee and orange juice. The rooms were imaculatly clean with tea & coffee facilitys. Rooms were spacious and i would highly recomend this hotel to people we will be staying again. Adele and tony were great made sure everythink was perfect.

Only downfall was.. ( hate doing this ) the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. Could feel springs in the double bed on both sides.

Location was excellent, short walk to all attractions. Room basic but everything you need for a short stay. Tea/coffee in room. Gorgeous shower. Excellent breakfast. Selection of cereals, cooked breakfast, toast, juice and fresh fruit.. hosts were great too!!

Adele and Tony are very friendly, as well as welcoming. Breakfast, with a runny yolked, fried egg, was lovely. I would definitely stay again.
