We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Alison the host was so lovely, she texted with all the information we needed before we got to the property, If we needed anything she was there. Room was so clean and very comfortable, very light and airy, bath was huge and had everything we needed.

Situated in a quiet and peaceful area of Buxton with space to park our car in the grounds. The room had everything we needed and included extras such as fresh milk in a flask , perfect for our first cup of tea. Quality toiletries were a bonus as were a good selection of tea bags. Friendly and hospitable host who provided a delicious breakfast.

This is an absolutely lovely property, large bedroom and bathroom, and an enormous comfy bed. The shared living room is cosy with a beautiful exposed brickwork wall, and the decor throughout is very tasteful. Alison was very welcoming, and breakfast was delicious. It's a mile from the town centre, so easy to walk in without the hassle of parking. We really enjoyed our stay

United KingdomAlison made us very welcome, she made sire we knew where we were going, she offered help to book local restaurants/pubs for tea. We had a few lovely chats and we felt so at home. It is a beautiful home with great views out to the garden from the lounge. Everwhere was immaculately clean with all we needed. Bed very comfy and house heated to our liking. The location is great a 10-15 min walk or 5 min taxi to the town, lots of pubs to choose from. Breakfast was perfect with lots of choice, we hope to go back soon, thanks Alison for a grest stay xx
