No towels upon arrival and not bothered about when they could supply them. Had to ask twice when shouldn't have had to ask at all. Did not clean/refresh room and drinks tray despite us leaving the label out. Toast was burnt, we could hear/see them scaping the burnt bits off before serving. Lounge/reception area littered with laundry bags etc. Not the best impression to make. No welcome to the breakfast table. Little or no input from catering supervisor, if there was one.

The shower drain in the room (#37) was blocked and so you couldn’t shower or it would overflow. The external doors near room #38 don’t get locked at night and just after 3.30am young folk, I presume outsiders, ran through the corridors making a disturbance and then they ran out again. The corridors up to #38 could do with a good clean.

Good location near to the promenade. We were able to check in very late, which was important to us. And the rooms were reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Parking is very limited. We got lucky but others weren't. Should figure out a way to ensuring enough parking, like hotel down the street.

Toilet seat was loose and falling off, kettle in the room was very temperamental and would not always switch on, the dinning room for breakfast was a bit pokey making it awkward to get to the breakfast buffet and limited parking at the hotel (4 spaces) meant a bit of a walk with our bags to a public car park.

Great Location just off the sea front, big room with plenty of space for our family of 5. A good breakfast that you help yourself too, so you wont go away hungry.

The parking possibilities are limited.

The place looked a little poor from outside but not from inside. The building is old but at least our room was repaired. There was a small kitchen with modern home appliances. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower might have been best compared to other hotels where we visited. In short walking distance is beach with long walking promenade . Really attractive town.

No lift or staff available to help us with our luggage to top floor. Room was warm in August but opened window was sliding down again; no fan available.

If you’re familiar of Faulty Towers, the reception woman is a female version of Basil Faulty, amusing to a certain extent then rude and patronising to the next!

My wife ordered a double Bailey's in the evening when we arrived and if it was a double I would be very surprised

One bed had a broken frame, so the mattress was propped up by a pillow, which did nothing. Parking is extremely limited - might be free but only four spaces! And for breakfast, the fried eggs were put on a tray with a ton of oil which was a bit weird and unnecessary. Price also a bit too high.

Good location, fortunate to find space after leaving a very windy campsite!
