To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomBreakfast option was a vending machine I think, however we wandered out to the little high street and found a nice breakfast. We didn't choose this hotel for its breakfast option so we weren't too disappointed.
Walking distance to where we were going, easily found, comfortable, clean. Soundproofing in the rooms was excellent given it is right next to the motorway. Pub next door was really nice and there is a Toby Carvery within walking distance

United KingdomGrab and go breakfast was mainly good but we weren’t keen on the hot baps. Everything else about breakfast was fine is system worked well for us.
The location was reasonably good for us and the triple glazing very effective concerning the M62 which is right near by. The staff were helpful and there were plenty of extras available for the tea and coffee making in the room. The pub next door was handy and pleasant.

United KingdomThe room was too warm and the air con was only available to heat room not to cool it down. Could open the window very little but wasn't an option to keep it open overnight due to the traffic noise off the M62. Ideally the rooms need to include cool air conditioning for a more comfortable stay.
Easy to find and has a large enough car park. The check in and out process is really straightforward. The room had everything you need and when we requested more towels they were brought over to our room really quickly. Would recommend this hotel. We didn't opt for on the go breakfast as we ate out instead but it smelt lovely.

The hotel is clean, quiet and the staff are friendly. The rooms are a good size.

United Kingdom'Grab and go' breakfast was poor. Hot sandwich of choice (bacon, sausage or egg) in a tasteless white bread roll. Sweet yoghurt and pastry. No fresh milk available for tea and coffee from a machine. No fresh fruit or remotely healthy option. I'll be happy to return to the hotel (booked again for next month) but won't bother with the breakfast next time.
Convenient location for my needs, lots of free parking, very friendly staff, comfortable bed and pillows. Good value for money. Clean with good towels and plenty hot water. The Nags Head pub right next door was lovely.
