Toilet seat in our room was broken so had to use the communal toilet that was very dirty. Pillow cases was very wet on first night, which is good that they washed it but not Good Morning to sleep on Bedroom 10m away from railway line so every time train comes past it sounds like it’s in your room Neighbouring bedroom guest snored so loud so didn’t get sleep in at all, no sound insulation at all. Couldn’t use the breakfast option as we had to leave before they opened the kitchen so had no breakfast both mornings but paid for it

The emergency pull cord in the accessible bathroom did not reach all the way to the floor which it ought to do.

Sound insulation is poor. We were disturbed throughout the night by what sounded like a family in the room above and they made no effort to be quiet even at 0200 or again at 0600. This ruined our stay due to their thoughtlessness but if the rooms were sound insulated, this sort of thing would not be an issue.

Room was basic but clean and quite adequate. Twin beds fine. Bathroom good. We were lucky to find a parking space at the property.

It is noisy. Trains thunder past four times an hour (thankfully not in the early hours of the morning). There can also be considerable noise from the street. However, the most annoying noise is from neighbouring rooms as the walls and floor are not soundproof. In addition, Rooms 1 and 2 are next to the entrance so one hears everyone coming and going. In addition, we never felt comfortable about keeping the windows open at night in any of the groundfloor rooms as passersby could easily reach in and grab. Indeed, the blind on Room 2 didn't cover the entire window so it is possible to see into the room from the road at night! If possible, try and get a room on the top floor which are not subject to noise from above and one can open the windows wide for some air.

My wife and I have now stayed at this hotel four times in the past year - accumulatively around two months. We therefore consider ourselves experts on the place! On the positive side, it is well situated for us being convenient to both the railway station and our daughter. The rooms are a good size. The all-day breakfast is wonderful. Joel is always at hand to sort out problems. While not cheap by South African standards, it is reasonable by UK standards. It also looks as though considerable maintenance has been carried out since our stay last year addressing many of the issues we noticed last time.

Opening time of kitchen was too limited to travellers arriving late or getting up very early. The TV in room had very bad reception and very limited channels. TV outdated.

The room was nice and clean. Comfortable beds. Enough towels. Room temperature was good.

This time, the only thing which I did not like was how the walls were so thin and you could hear everyone from them. Some days/nights, there was too much voice coming from the other rooms.

I had stayed in Flexistay before and as always I liked the location of the hotel. The room was comfortable to stay, too. Also, the staff was responsive to my messages. I will be staying with Flexistay again in the future. Thank you!

You couldn't lock the door from the inside which as a female person travelling alone felt a little odd. I also didn't like that there were no staff on site in the case of an emergency.
