Nicely decorated and comfortable in a charming village. It had all the essentials and a nice welcome pack. Pleasant back garden and deck. Convenient to have a fine pub serving good food close by.

We had a wonderful stay in this tranquil cottage, great location for Lyme Regis and the other beaches along from there, we visited sidmouth and charmouth, also not far for a day out in the city in Exeter should you fancy it. Just a wonderful, clean, cosy cottage, we loved the log burner, fireworks in Lyme Regis, pub over the road, gorgeous garden. We’ll be back!

The narrow village street can cause minor problems - we were woken one morning by a blast from a big lorry's horn because a neighbour had parked so as to block his way through. Not a major issue!

This was our second stay in Ferndale cottage, and it was just as nice as last year. The cottage was comfortable and well-equipped, with an easy and efficient heating system and all facilities were excellent. We may be back again.

Nothing could have been necessarily better with the accommodation it was fab. I understand the price but I wish it was more affordable to stay longer and more frequently, (But obviously cost is relative) and this was a great stay.

Loved the cottage and how it was a home away from home. Kids played in the garden whilst I had a coffee by the fire and the washing on and dinner cooking it was so lovely to have a home that felt like home. We played with the games provided, picked apples that had fallen from the apple trees and drank wine in the evening watching Netflix, what more could you want.

Bed was slightly hard for us but personal choice.

Wonderful, clean well presented cottage with lovely outside seating areas. Location is very preaceful and the Kings Arms Inn across the road is very welcoming & serves excellent food. Close to Devon & Dorset coast ( 30 min drive) & plenty of nearby attractions. Countryside walks from the door.

S No complaints other than some of the access routes to the village were very narrow but we found Stockland Hill lane on our last day was the best. Our fault!!

The location was ideal for touring the area. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and met all our needs. The pub across the road was welcoming and the food was excellent. Also nice and quiet location.

A delightful, peaceful place to stay in the heart of East Devon

Located in the quiet heart of East Devon, this was a lovely cottage, warm, cosy and inviting. Just perfect for walking and exploring the local countryside. The cottage was well equipped and with a wood burning stove (as well as central heating) to ward off the cold weather, we had a peaceful, comfortable stay. And we are sure we will be back.

There was nothing to dislike, and we hope we may visit the cottage again in the future.

The cottage was cosy, convenient and very well equipped. The weather was poor while we were in Devon, but we were comfortable and enjoyed the visit. The Inn across the road was very convenient.

The garden is not dog proof. The steps to the patio and garden are dangerous. The TV can only be seen by 2 people at a time due to its situation. The door to the twin bedroom did not close without a huge amount of heaving and noise. The kitchen was grubby and the house could do with a good deep clean. It is situated on a through road and there is passing traffic from 6am.

Loved that the cottage is opposite the pub. It has plenty of outdoor space. The hot water is good and the shower is very efficient. Very kind of the owners to leave wine and biscuits. There are nice walks from the property. The village is quaint and the residents are friendly.
