Unfortunately the air cooling was not working. The day had been very hot and our room was also very hot. The windows could only be opened a short way and the air cooler did no more than blow the warm air about but, at least, it was moving. We had to sleep on top of the bed which was comfortable. When I reported the lack of cooling the next day they did say that they would look into it but we were leaving that morning. There was a good variety for breakfast but it was not clear which items were gluten free or not. Nothing was labelled. What I had for breakfast was pleasant but it was guess work as to whether it would suit me. By the time we arrived it was not possible to get a parking space so we had to park in the street a short walk away. It would have been helpful if the young man on the desk had told us that we would only need to pay for parking on street from 8.00am. It would have saved us being to rush up at 6am and then finding that we could pay on line from 8am for the could of hours we needed. It war as if the reception was busy when we arrived at about 11pm

Although advertised as Air conditioned it had no Air conditioning on" Cooling" setting. The onlly setting available was"Heat" setting.In other words a system that didnt cool to required lower temps. It was the start of a heat wave with temps getting up to high 20's. So quite uncomfortable. The delivery of a portable fan on request to the room helped, but it didn't deliver the same comfort level as proper cooling air conditioning would have.

Manager was generous to offer us a discount on the nights stay due to the Air conditioning issue. Complimentary breakfast which was inclusive in the tariff, was excellent. Staff were very friendly and quick to follow up on any requests. Lovely people, a hotel with a great team.

The room was very stuffy in spite of turning on the air con and adjusting the thermostat to 5C and it was noisy. We did manage to open the window to air the room. The bed was too warm (may be good for winter but not in June) and I could not sleep properly. The toilet is much lower than usual height, so one gets a surprise.

The location was well placed between Cardiff city centre and the Mermaid Quay. Pleasant and accessible walking to these places. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed sitting outside.

I would not call this hotel dog friendly when there is no where to sit with your dog inside & enjoy breakfast. Unfortunately we had to sit outside on some old chairs, luckily the weather was ok! If you say you are a dog friendly hotel you need to offer some where to sit with your dog inside. Quite a walk to Cardiff Bay.

Sink to high in bathroom, so water kept running down arms on to the floor. Soap dispenser needed to be nearer and less pump action to stop squirting on the floor. Dangerous trip hazard getting out of the slippery shower with step and frame. Having to spend loads of time stood waiting in line for hot water for a cup of tea at breakfast, I would have been quicker going back to my room to boil the kettle!

It was hit & stuffy in the room. No aircon only a fan (when I complained). In check out I told the guy on the desk how incredibly hot it was in the room and he laughed at me . Not impressed

There is no air-conditioning in this hotel and this is completely opposite to what Booking.com has mentioned in the facilities at these hotels .. we were given a fan to combat the suffocating warmth when Windows of the room are closed
