Service was a bit slow at dinner. We were given a wine list with our menus and the waitress walked off. But we don’t drink wins and had to wait 15 minutes before she came back and she then got us the other drinks menu.

Beautiful building and grounds. Interesting history, attentive staff. Excellent service. Swimming pool was lovely. Jai was especially lovely, looking after us after breakfast. They made my daughters 21st birthday extra special.

The dinner menu could have been more varied and we found it a little pricey for what was on offer.

The staff were amazing; they went above and beyond and were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was incredible; it was varied and delicious. The location and building were extraordinary.

The place magical country house was fabulous full of history and incredible saff characters was dealt with so much enthusiasm and everything was a sheer quality experience from breakfast to dinner and occasional 🍸 drinks served perfectly the staff fell over each other to be as helpful as they could my hat off to them all

The room was excellent, the bed comfy and everything was fine (except the fridge was not working - fixed very quickly) Breakfast was excellent - good choice and well cooked. We were staying and celebrating our Golden Wedding so ate in the dining room on the Sar=turday night - brilliant meal and excelent service. We visited Stratford on the Saturday - easy journey in and ean enjoyable time. We used the spa facilities which again were very goof ( and very quiet) - delighted that the hotel let us use those facilities after we have checked out. We had a really good stay and would heartily recommend the hotel

Would like to give 10/10 but as it was towards the upper end of cost our expectations were slightly higher. Little attention to detail would make it 10. Eg. Asked for biscuits/cake with tea but without success. Wine chosen not chilled. No shower gel in bathroom and a few more items in minibar would have been nice. I would however say we had a very relaxing stay and even though one night felt like a week away!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The house grounds were lovely and we very lucky to find such a beautiful location that took dogs. The room was very dog friendly with beds and feeding bowls. The spa was very quiet and relaxing and very clean. We really enjoyed the food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

Decor could do with an upgrade

Although a little tired in decor this is a wonderful hotel with very comfortable beds, amazing food m, a lovely pool and staff who couldn’t do enough to make our stay (including very dedicated barmen and particularly welcoming breakfast staff). Thank you - it made our long work days much more bearable!
