Getting from the car park was a nightmare, especially the first time with heavy suitcases, going up 6 flights of stairs only to find a locked door which after phoning reception and left on hold a lovely cleaner opened it.

Ellie behind reception was lovely, knowledgeable and friendly.

Weird room layout (shower opens into the room itself - not in a separate bathroom). Rooms pretty basic with no tea / coffee facilities (had to go down to reception to make these) which was a bit inconvenient.

Easy walk to the Hydro arena (reason for our stay). Staff were friendly and helpful. Beds really comfy.

The corridors had a funky smell. Presumably it was coming from the carpets?

We liked that the property was in a leisure park, and as we were attending a concert at the OVO Hydro, it was great to be only a 20min walk away.

The whole area/surrounding is quite run-down and poor. The entrance is hard to find (through a car park). Only a handful of fast food restaurants in the area, only 1 small Tesco shop down the road. Didn’t feel safe to be out by night and having to go back to the hotel. Quite pricey for the room we had (room 820). No space for your belongings, such as clothes. Can feel a bit claustrophobic at times.

Easy check-in, good breakfast. 15 minutes into city centre by bus, or 30 minute walk. Snacks and drink available at a low cost if you’re craving a quick snack. Friendly staff.
