Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe struggled with the over bath shower, as we are used to having a large walk in one at home, but we soon got used to it by the time we left.
It is a beautiful property and made us feel like we were staying in a luxury hotel. We liked the history theme for the property and the decoration was just right. It was very clean and comfortable and Fiona and Craig were very helpful.

From the start the communication with the hosts was great. A couple of days before we let them know when we would get to Edinburgh, they were able to arrange to meet us at the apartment to hand over the keys and give us a guided tour. It's a lovely Georgian apartment in the New Town. Great location, less than 20mins on foot from Waverley station. Plenty of great pubs, bars and restaurants nearby.

AustraliaThere’s nothing we didn’t like. It was amazing. One small recommendation would be to have a non slip bath mat available as it’s a wee bit slippy in there.
It’s simply gorgeous. Lots of space, high ceilings, beautifully decorated with lots of class and a splash of fun. Well situated close to the castle and some lovely shops. Excellent check in process and great communication throughout - very thoughtful too, leaving us some yummy snacks and a bottle of bubs.

United KingdomOverall, I must say it was a fantastic stay. First and foremost, the apartment itself was absolutely stunning. In fact, I would go as far as to say it was the most beautiful flat I've ever seen. It truly exceeded my expectations and created a wonderful atmosphere for our stay. The host was kind and accommodating. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find a basket filled with sweets and champagne waiting for us. The location was also great. I would not hesitate to book this apartment again in the future. Highly recommend!

United KingdomI've read about people not being 100% happy with the hot water. For me the shower was fine however I did have a bath one evening which was a tad on the cold side so I would stick to the shower if we were fortunate to come again.
Location was perfect, we got the tram from the airport to Princes street and it was a short walk to the apartment which was so easy to do. The apartment itself was just simply stunning and a great way to spend our 10th wedding anniversary. The gift basket was a lovely touch!

United StatesUsing the bathtub for a shower was a little tricky because it is narrow, but we managed fine. The bathroom is very large and has plenty of counter space for toiletries. Large window lets in good light.
Fiona was waiting at the door for us when when nearly walked past (it was raining and our heads were down). She was very welcoming and showed us around their beautiful apartment. The apartment was better than the pictures could possibly portray.
