Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWhat an incredible find! From the warm welcome by Andy, to the magical walk down to Doe’s Den in the stunning valley by the river…then into the cabin itself…everything about this place is incredible. Andy the host couldn’t do enough for us - he returned to set the fire for the evening and fire up the hot tub, so we could chill beneath the starts. Waking up to the deer munching apples outside was just the icing in the cake. And the cabin itself is super modern, clean, stylish and cosy. A real experience and we’d highly recommend.

United KingdomNothing. One tip, bring an eye mask as pod doesn’t have curtains/blinds, understandably as the view is gorgeous.
We felt like we were in our own little world, so secluded and beautiful. The s’mores package was really fun (extra cost) and we thoroughly enjoyed the wood fired hot tub. Bed extremely comfy and everything clean. The breakfast hamper was delicious and filled with locally sourced products. The host is very welcoming and attentive. All in all, a treat for the senses!

Total relaxation in a gorgeous setting. Very well organised and tended to by Andy and his team who obviously pride themselves on excellence in customer service. The location is stunning in lovely grounds along the Shimna river Newcastle on the Enniskeen Estate loads of lovely plants trees and wild life including the deer that came around 10pm and again early in the morning to eat apples from the orchard in front of our luxury pod. The wood fired hot tub is class at night and your in total privacy. The pod itself is fantastic with a great shower room and plenty of room and very comfy bed. A fantastic breakfast hamper is delivered to your back door around 9.00am and you’ll get a message from Andy to gently let you know it has been delivered. I can’t say enough about how fantastic the place is if you want a very peaceful romantic battery recharging experience with your partner and like to do something different from the boring hotel room.

United KingdomNot much we didn't like really. The whole path down to pods was out of this world! However, if there if we can make any suggestion, then we would say, when you approach the pods, there are things lying around, a tractor, wheelbarrow, tools, plastics, etc which was a pity.. Hidden storage would be nicer.. Other than that, everything was perfect and we would defo go back!
Really enjoyed the pod, the facilities, the view from the pod, nature.. The staff were welcoming and helpful, breakfast was great. I am vegan and the vegan breakfast option was great! We had a lovely time overall! It started raining early so we didn't get to use the firepit or the hot tub but that didn't spoil it for us!

United KingdomNothing this place is so lovely
If you are looking for a little peace and tranquillity this is the perfect place to find it. Stayed here Saint Patrick's day for one lovely relaxing night with the hope of getting a reset in nature and a little pamper. This place did not disappoint. Andy is an absolute gem, this man knows how to make his guests happy and he went above and beyond to help us get the best from our experience. When we arrived at the cabin we were in awe of the beautiful surroundings from the little walk down through the river trail to the mountains and the river right on your doorstep. The cabin itself is lovely, charming and quaint and they really have provided all you could want from a coffee machine to a cooler. We went into Newcastle for a little pint and some food and when we arrived back Andy arrived to light the fire for the hot tub, this was worth the wait! So we sat at the fire pit having some drinks and actually talking.....with no distractions. This was the best bath I've ever had.....under the stars listening to the crackle of the fire and the sounds of the river. The bed is super comfy and we had a great sleep waking up to a delicious breakfast hamper. We will definitely be booking to stay here again it was the nicest stay away in a long time and is genuinely just good for your soul. Came away feeling refreshed and calm. Thanks Andy you really have done a phenomenal job with the place, thanks for everything ☺️

United StatesWe would've loved to stay a little longer to experience the entirty of what the property had to offer i. e. The outdoor spa. Thank you for accommodating a later check-out. It was lovely to go slow.
Andy is wonderful-lovely conversationalist, accommodating and available. The breakfast is brilliant, although with the time change our appetite was limited and we couldn't enjoy the large spread without overfilling. The location is beautiful and offers opportunities for memorable photos. GPS took us right to Andy and he met us at the car. Beautiful rain boots available in purple and green start the experience with a lovely nature walk to our own little hobbit house 🏡 Battery pack and generator allow for limited creature comforts if you require.
