The mattress was a cheap and thin spring type that does not support the back at all and needs changing! nice to offer a piece of fruit. I gave feedback at reception about leaking radiator, room door almost impossible to lock due to warping - small maintenance issues that need attention of supervision, the guest should not need to identify these known issues. Staff were most friendly and helpful in taking this feedback but management need to actively check all the rooms frequently.

The communal staircase carpet to the rooms looks very dirty and worn. It could do with a clean or replace as it detracts from everything else and would improve the overall score

No towels in room on arrival and the next day my room was not made up. I then had to go to reception for the second time in 2 days to ask for clean towels and tea/coffee/milk to be replenished. The receptionist was most apologetic and replaced towel and tea coffee etc. She asked if she could make the room up but I said no problem I can make the bed etc.

The bar wasn't open at all during our stay, which was very disappointing, nor was it open early afternoon. When we arrived (admittedly it was around 10p.m.) there was no staff whatsoever, the hotel was unmanned and it was very tricky to find our rooms. As 2 of us where in one building and the other two in a separate building. We luckily knew somebody staying at the hotel so they checked in for us earlier in the day.

Breakfast was lovely, great selection. Bedrooms lovely and spacious. We asked for a slightly later check out and the staff were more than happy to help. Really appreciated that! The blonde lady at breakfast was wonderful. Very helpful and nice.

Extremely pleasant member of staff who arranged storage for our bicycles and allocated us a very nicely appointed twin room. The hotel was very well decorated and had high quality fittings everywhere. Also, the breakfast was available from 7:00 am and was excellent.

Wifi code wasn't visible in the room. Shame the bar and restaurant have closed for evening meal / drinks (during the weekdays I was there at least).

The breakfast was very good. Had a full breakfast with bacon, egg, sausage etc and a great omelette which they added extra mushroom for me. Julia was really friendly who welcomes you for breakfast.

The room was a twin, the beds were very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. Bathroom facilities were great, huge shower, lovely towels and there was shower gel and shampoo provided. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate and biscuits provided. Stayed b&b, breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice 10/10

I didn't mind too much but the shower was missing a door and the carpet had seen better days. Personal preference too but I prefer a firmer mattress.
