Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IrelandThe hot water did not work the 1st morning. I contacted Stayo and I was given instructions ( via email) on how to reset the hot water which then worked- all of this took over an hour to sort out . The hot water did not work the 2nd morning either and there was an alarm sign on the boiler display . It worked after I reset the boiler but we were again delayed because of this . I noticed on the fuse box resetting box that a maintenance check was due in February 2022 - 2 years overdue!!
The location and good space in the apartment for 4 people.

United KingdomNo instructions on how to use the cooker/oven. Had to phone up the main office. Also the lock/code system wasn’t easy to use. A bit like trying to complete a ‘breakout’ challenge. I wouldn’t recommend to older guests as it’s complicated to get into the flat and the stairs are very very steep. We were a little unnerved by the sounds of rodents in the piping/vents above the bedroom at night. I suppose it is London tho….
Location was great and facilities fab! Wear and tear on the chairs- they should’ve been replaced. Nothing provided to do the washing up, a scourer and tea towel would’ve been helpful.

Very clean, wonderful location: close to tube/ Elizabeth line, close to theatre district , British museum, lots of food places nearby and 3 supermarkets within few mins walk. very good instructions re accessing the apartment, pretty well set up in kitchen, comfy bed.

Great location. Big spacious flat with everything that you need. I was happy to stay there because everything was in a walking distance away from the flat, plus there were metro stations. The price is also great for the area. The staff and the customer service is amazing

United KingdomShowers were freezing cold. No heat at all and we couldn't work out how to get hot water. This was fine for a one night stay but would have needed assistance for longer. The apartment is on the third floor so be prepared for a lot of stairs. The sofa bed collapses when acting as a bed and isn't very comfortable to sleep on.
The apartment was really spacious. We stayed in this apartment for one night as a group of 7 women. There are 3 good sized rooms with double beds in, 1 room has an En Suite. The sofa also extends to a double bed. There was no noise issue. The area is great and right off Oxford Street, a very short walk to the nearest tube station. Lots of shops nearby. I'd stay again, great value for money.

PortugalComplicated check-in process: lots of emails, requesting too much information. Required a deposit of around £250 to get code and keys to the apartment, which we had not expected. It was quickly returned after our check-out though. For access you have to go up the stairs the equivalent of 2 floors. The double bed in the bedroom isn’t very large.

United KingdomThe booking process was excessive with a lot required with regards to ID/big deposit to be paid up front. Would have been nice to have some nice coffee there.
AMAZING location, just 7 mins from The Palace Theatre which is why we booked the flat. Clean flat, great shower. The beds were comfy and it was easy to access / pick up keys. Despite central location and being near to restaurants and bars it was not too noisy at all.

CanadaDealing with the booking before our stay was a challenge. I have never had to fill out so much paperwork and fulfil so many requirements before staying anywhere! Plus having to send a damage deposit ahead of time under the threat of canceling our booking felt a bit heavy handed. The suite had a washing machine but no dryer, there was no hand soap of dish soap in the kitchen and no cloth to wipe down counters or hand wash dishes. Plus there are a lot of stairs to drag suitcases up, and too many keys/codes to get in. It’s like a geocache! 😂
Location was great, very walkable to all of the major attractions we went to as well as the underground. Kitchen was nice, close to grocery stores and shopping. Easily walkable to restaurants and pubs

Very little information is provided, just a short notice on the wall that we only saw after already rang up to ask for the wifi code. Also had to ring for info on the cooker, which should have been displayed next to it.
Great location; I really appreciated being able to leave our bags before check in (which is quite late, 3pm). The apartment was clean and tidy inside. Good selection of utensils.

CanadaThe. 5 flights of stairs up to the apt wasn’t great. One Of our party had a pacemaker and this made the stairs not only dangerous but difficult for her. Hauling our luggage up those stairs proved to be hard.
Nice. Modern, updated apt. Separate bedrooms for our group was good. Laundry was handy.
