Food service at night time was very slow. Took over an hour. Being asked TWICE, if I had paid for the accommodation. Once when we got there, and then again when we left. I'd paid the balance before we got to the hotel. I found that very annoying.

The fact that it was close to the airport. We stayed here for the night when we returned from a holiday in Madeira. Room was cosy and clean and had everything we needed.

Car parking charges! Used to be £5 per night, now £20! Usual notice in room saying if you want your towels changed put them on the shower floor. Didn't want my towels changed so left them hanging but when I returned they'd changed them and removed one of the bath towels but not replaced it! Despite these small niggles this is an excellent place to stay and we'll be back as usual.

The simple fact that 20 quid to park was excessive !...after expressing my dissatisfaction a member of staff gave me a code which reduced it to 10 quid ...so I stayed at your hotel, ate the hotel, used the bar then got nailed for parking !!

I can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

We skipped breakfast as we were too tired with arriving at about 2.45 am. The room was lovely & clean, the bed was so comfy. The guy on reception was really helpful & polite & explained about paying for parking. I look forward to staying there again. Thank you Holiday Inn.

Guests in the room adjacent (with an adjoining door) on the first night had loud TV on most of the night so had to ask them to turn it down at 3am. Car parking rates ridiculously high for non-airport guests, might make me think twice about staying there in future.

Excellent functional hotel which I've stayed at many times before. Breakfast early on weekends for those of us working, good location for place of work

The room was dark, I question why a disabled room is on the second floor. Breakfast is basic. Fruit consists of apples and orange, no fruit pieces to add to youghart. Only scrambled egg, no other egg choice.

As with most hotels the bedroom door isn’t insulated so you can hear people coming and going, doors closing etc. The air con unit was quite noisy.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. Nice touch was an iron and a hairdryer. It is walking distance to the airport but the bus stops conveniently right outside which drops you off at the terminal. The bedroom was triple glazed which kept the outside noise to a minimum.

Location -The hotel probably suits those travelers who have a flight to catch from East Midland Airport for others the location is "nowhere". Its away from city. Uber access is unpredictable. I couldn't find a store on walking distance so I had to be mindful of carrying eatables while coming back to hotel. Breakfast had very few basic things & surprisingly the menu was same throughout my 5 days of stay.

Friendly staff. They would offer you any help that you may need. Prompt efforts in making you comfortable. Wonderful staff. Comfortable beds. Dinner was awesome.

Actual stay was lovely dinner on Friday night not so starter came with main meal then was told we should have said we wanted it separately fish was mostly batter chips were gorgeous though!!

Menu choice could be a bit better as we don't do burgers or pizza, however, the fish and chips were delicious Used to a bigger bed a bit cramped now in a double lol
