If it is available, Book it! You will not be disappointed. Hayley and Steve are the Best hosts we have ever experienced and that also is reflected in the Shepherds Hut Experience that we had too. Everything was literally Perfect....Everything! We will definitely be going there again.

There is nothing to dislike about the place at all.

The Shepherd's hut is set in beautiful surroundings and secure from the Dartmoor Animals, The venue and grounds are setup for outdoor entertaining and the layout and facilities are 5 Star Accommodation and service. Hayley and Steve made us very welcome and all the niceties of welcome pack and goodies were awesome. The location is superb and you are on Dartmoor with the surrounding villages of Throwleigh, Chugford and South Zeal all of which have Roads onto the moor that are worth driving just for the thrill too. 100% We will be coming back to stay again and it was a fantastic break, truly relaxing and restful. ❤️😎👏

Can’t think of a single thing to put here!

You can really tell Hayley and the team have put in the effort into the hut and making the stay extremely comfy. The whole hut is amazing from the setting, beautiful scenery, the bed (you won’t want to get out of it) and a gorgeous hut. Hayley was extremely helpful with arranging a few extra pieces. The welcome tray and breakfast items were amazing. So much so we bought some eggs from the honest box style shop on site as we left - as we’re up in the moors often we’ll definitely make a detour just for the brownies.

Cosy, peaceful retreat with lovely hosts! The hut is comfortable with everything you need to escape for a few days. Even when the weather is stormy you can sit and watch from the comfort of the hut with the log burner to keep you warm! The little touches that are added really make it special and we loved our stay and can’t wait to return in better weather!

Absolutely nothing - it was perfect from start to finish!

The Shepherds hut was extremely cosy and had everything you needed and more. I was celebrating my Birthday and entered to find Birthday Bunting, balloons, a little bottle of Prosecco and a candle in the most delicious home baked chocolate brownies - it was such a wonderful welcome. Hayley and Steve are simply the best hosts you could ever wish for - nothing was too much trouble for them despite them also running a busy farm as well. The location is perfect with the moors quite literally own your doorstep. The attention to detail inside was exceptional with beautiful seasonal touches such as ornamental pumpkins and Autumnal bedding and flowers. The welcome pack reflected the amazing generosity of the hosts with fresh cows milk, bacon, orange juice, bread and butter all provided. I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough.

It's a very nice, quiet location, close to southzeal, Drogo castle, Chagford and Okehampton. The shepherd's hut provided all we could wish for and more. Would definitely book again!

I cannot think of a single thing. It was perfect.

From the moment we arrived, we were overwhelmed with the location and the warm welcome we received from Hayley and Steve. All the special touches made it a memorable place to stay! The bed was so comfortable and cosy. We adored Blackberry one of the residents cats.
