There was nothing we didn’t like.

What an absolute gem of a place! We had a great stay here, a great welcome, super comfortable bed, magnificent bathroom, excellent food in the pub and at breakfast. It’s in a very pretty, quiet village with lovely views. A lovely touch was being given a little travel bag with water, fruit and snacks in for our onward journey. We will be back!

Quite creaky floorboards in the room above us so there was a bit of noise at times but we know the owners are gradually making good the things that previous owners had done badly. Apart from that no complaints at all.

We absolutely loved the laid back atmosphere of the whole place, including all the wonderful staff.You can tell that the owners heart and soul have gone into making this place so nice.It was so peaceful and perfect for our dog with patio doors leading straight outside. There are so many beautiful walks to be had around the area and it was only around 1 1/2 miles into Avebury to visit the historic stones and barrows. The food was excellent quality and cooked with skill and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. What a little gem. We will be back.

The room was large and very comfortable. I loved the standing bath and the large bed. Dinner and Beakfast were exceptionally made with fresh ingredients. The view from the window was so beautiful. Ben and his family are so very kind and hospitable and they even got us a takeaway bag for the journey home! Will def come again!

Not a single complaint

We arrived soaking wet after a full days cycling in the rain and was met with a warm welcome and hot tea and biscuits! The marquee in the garden was very helpful with sorting the bikes out of the rain. 3 of us in the 'Robin' room. Best accommodation of the whole trip. Very large room, 2 single beds in the main room and another bed in an attached side room. Bathroom was huge with a bath in the middle of the floor and separate walk in shower. The host couldn't do enough for us and was happy to take our wet cycling gear and run it through the washing machine. The host also ran the attached pub where the food was excellent. Highly recommend staying here...we will be back 👌

Nothing - just perfect.

Absolute hidden gem set in perfect and quiet rural location, with the loveliest hosts ever. Ben came out to greet us as we parked and made us feel at home from the off. He and his wife (not forgetting their lovely daughter, dog and Dave the tortoise!) have created a unique hostelry that is charming and friendly with fabulous food (breakfast was fabulous) and feels like home from home. Highly recommended.

Nothing. Our stay was lovely and I couldn't fault it. The family that run Elderbrook are great hosts.

We loved the friendly welcome upon arrival. The patio attached to our room was beautiful when having a glass of wine in the evening. The breakfasts were phenomenal. We ate in the village pub attached to Elderbrook both nights of our stay and really appreciated how flexible Elderbrook were in the times they were willing to cook for us. All the food we ate was great. We loved chatting to the family that run Elderbrook. We also really appreciated the little bag of treats we were given as we checked out to keep us going on our road trip.

The hosts were absolutely fantastic. Welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Beautiful scenery, quiet location. Our room was lovely. Very sizable with a huge en suite complete with shower and roll top bath. The food was delicious. Home cooked and hearty, made using quality ingredients. We very much enjoyed our stay as a Family of 4.

I had a wonderful stay, I felt welcomed and really looked after. The room was spacious, comfortable, well equipped (including complementary drinks fridge). I had dinner at the bar which was pleasant and the breakfast had a comprehensive choice and included locally sourced items. 100% recommend.

That we only stayed one night!

Fabulous stay with Ben and his family. The hotel is in a lovely quiet location about half an hours walk from Avebury. We were there the night the adjoining pub was open so we were lucky enough to eat there which was great. Breakfast was spectacular too. Ben really couldn’t do enough for us and communication before our stay was excellent. We’ll definitely stay again when we’re back down that way.
