Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We had a wonderful stay. From the moment we checked in the hosts gave us a warm welcome. It truly felt like a second home to us. The house is beautiful and guests have a lot of space to relax in. The hosts have built a really warm bed & breakfast. The surrounding area is very beautiful and there is a very noce vinyl collection for the guests.

United KingdomAccess to the bedrooms is via a spiral staircase. This was totally fine for us but could be tricky for anyone with mobility issues.
Fantastic location, comfortable shared spaces (lovely living room and dining area), great selection for breakfast (do it yourself in the well appointed kitchen). Really helpful hosts who gave great recommendations and lots of cake! Well definitely be coming back!

United KingdomThe weather, but that can't be helped :-(
The location was very rural and peaceful but only 5-10mins drive from Ammanford which has a couple of supermarkets and places to eat. The room was beautifully decorated as was the rest of the house which we pretty much had the run of. Rachel and Richard were excellent hosts, super relaxed, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. There was a mega choice for breakfast and all dietary needs catered for - we were even able to cook dinner on one evening. Excellent base to explore the surrounding countryside, Brecon Beacons, Gower and further afield.

AustraliaFor us the location was the original factor in booking our stay as we believed it was only 8 to 10 minutes from our family in Pontarddualis, but we did not realise how very narrow the road (lane) was and therefore we drove 30 to 35 minutes via and alternate route. None of this was our hosts fault, we did not do our research as well as we should have, and Richard was fantastic in coming with us the 1st time to make sure we did not get lost.
Our Hosts Richard and Rachael were fantastic and gave us and all their guests open access to all but their on private rooms. Their home is beautifully rustic and pituresque views.

One of the best b&bs we have ever stayed in! Every single room is tastefully and creatively decorated down to the smallest detail, all colour-coordinated. Lots of communal spaces, especially a living room for guests with a cosy fireplace and a gorgeous garden with two playful dogs. Rachel and Richard take perfect care of their guests, extremely nice, easy-going and always in a good mood. We had a fantastic time together and are sure we haven't seen the last of them.

United KingdomI wish we had booked for longer.
Firstly we would like to say a massive thank you to Richard & Rachael for the most wonderful weekend, it was very special and you don’t get many of those. The check in was very easy and every thing was clearly explained. There is a safe and hairdryer in the wardrobe so no need to pack one. Breakfast is superb, everything you could ask for and more. Fresh berries for me, sausage, bacon & freshly laid eggs by Rachael’s free roaming chickens, for my husband. The views from the house are stunning and you really wouldn’t need to go anywhere else, if you wanted to sit and read a good book and just take some time out. However, there are so many beautiful places to visit and we did some fantastic walks, along deserted beaches and up some very steep hills. There really is something for every level. Richard will happily advise you on places to visit. You are close to the Gower Peninsula and the spectacular beaches of Rhossili & Broughton Bay and the lovely seaside town of Mumbles. This is a brilliant area for cycling and next time, and there will definitely be a next time, the bikes will come too.

United KingdomI found the wardrobe a little cramped to watch TV!
Efail Y Garn enjoys spectacular panoramic views in a quiet location and is ideally situated for visits to the impressive National Botanic garden, walking, challenging cycling or the sandy beaches of the Gower which are further afield. Richard is staggering fit and Rachel simply staggering. The two dogs Ivy and Reggie were equally welcoming. Ivy is a cutie and Reggie soon became my regular tennis partner. The hosts provide more than I have experienced at any other B&B. Guests enjoy total freedom albeit in the specifically dedicated sitting room complete with vinyl records and wood burner, or when they can raid the fridge and food supplies. I felt more at home there than I do here.
