Some items missing from the advertised facilities ie tumble dryer, coffee machine and microwave none of which were in the apartment. Needs a bread bin.

Good to have an option to buy breakfast very handy. Close to city and cricket ground with ample parking.

Sadly, new management have decided that dogs are no longer allowed so if we return it will have to be without the dog.

Excellent location for exploring Canterbury. Lovely Victorian building with really nice gardens. Good breakfast selection.

We were on the third floor, which was a lovely room and good view to the front. However, there was no lift and quite a lot of stairs for someone with a knee injury! If we had known that at the booking stage we would have asked for a more accessible room nearer the ground floor.

Breakfast was good and not rushed. A good selection, excellent full English breakfast. Very approachable staff. Lovely garden at the rear. Great free parking.

Bit further walking to town than ideal for us, but not too bad.

Nice breakfast, we could not find marmalade. Very helpful staff. might be better if they brought a big pot of tea to the table rather than go back for small cups?

Only options for eggs at breakfast were scrambled eggs. Be nice to offer poached or fried too. A shower not just bath in room would have been good

So many tiny things that with a bit of thought/tlc could make it a fantastic place. The cleaning standards were a bit low (grubby oven tray, crumbs in the kitchen drawers etc). Also the room was a bit tired in places (chipped or worn skirting boards, missing end from light pull etc). The attention to detail was lacking (no scissors in the kitchen, 3 mini shampoos - one half used- and no shower gels or anything else, no coat hooks in the large hallway or hallway cupboard, a great sized bed but the duvet was a few sizes too small for it). And the motion sensor lights in the hallway (as far as we could see- no instruction) not possible to switch off, so if you needed to use the bathroom in the night (rather than use a phone torch) the apartment was light up so brightly it was blinding and disturbed everyone.

Great location, lovely staff on arrival and departure. Great sized apartment.

Thought breakfast was included only to be told at check out it wasn't, so that took a bit of the gloss off our stay. When we checked in, it would have been handy if that had been established at that point of our stay

First entrance, late afternoon: No one answered the door or bell, only when I used my phone to call the hotel, then I was able to enter. This late shift reception staff, gentleman was a little hostile with little humility nuance. A little early morning noise, but this maybe where the position of the building where I was sleeping was in.

Morning reception staff gentleman, impeccable. Breakfast wonderful. Location wonderful. Back view wonderful. Very comfortable and clean bed and room.

Small niggles but not enough to make a complaint. Crumbs on top of toaster - which I easily cleaned off. No iron or dishwasher tablets. (Welcome book did state these were included.- staff gave me an iron when we asked for one - I went and bought washing up liquid which I left for the next guest).. Bed bases had muddy marks - again easily wiped off.

Friendly staff. Great privacy. Quiet area. Bar had great opening hours and prices ok. Near to city centre. Lovely grounds to sit and relax. Cottage a good size.
