Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaOption for hairdryer would be great. Room was small but in saying that perfect for 1 person. If you have 2 you would want more space.
Great location and extremely helpful and welcoming staff member, Heather.

United KingdomWindows don’t open at all and the AC auto turns off every hour between 9am and 6pm, can’t control where the AC blows and it only goes down to 16, not very strong air either, so on one of the hottest days of the year this was quite inconvenient. No hand towels provided, the all in one hand, hair and body wash is harsh on the skin, no cups or other toiletry items provided. Not a major issue but can incur extra costs for guests. Also no bin in main room and bin in bathroom had no liner so we didn’t use it either. Must be very comfortable with the person you’re travelling with as the bathroom is a glass cabinet inside the room with little privacy.
Cleaner than a lot of hotels, great location in the city centre with noise proofing as it’s very central but didn’t hear outside noise much at all, friendly and helpful staff. It is a very basic and compact room but that was expected and it was fine for what we sought from the stay.

SerbiaThe rooms are quite small. You'll have to jump over the luggage too often if you are two people. My room was on the ground floor, so the noise from passersby was noticeable, and curtains had to be pulled on at all times for privacy. Sound insulation is also not good, and you can hear other guests.
The location was great. 15 min walk from the central train station, and 10 min walk from Piccadilly. The beds were comfortable, and WiFi was good. I could have work Zoom calls without any hiccups.

United KingdomPillows we're not great, incredibly thin, could have possibly asked for extras, but just used a towel under it to make it a bit thicker.
Room was basic, but had everything you would require to stay over and was clean and tidy. Staff were accommodating and helpful.

United KingdomCould have done with thicker pillows, and/or more than one each. Perhaps could have got some from reception but too knackered by the time we got in to be bothered. Still slept OK, so not a big deal.
If you go to an EasyHotel expecting a vast luxurious room with chocolate mints on the pillow you missed the point! The room is small, the facilities minimal but all is clean, comfortable bed and very nice shower. Convenient location for Northern Quarter and Manchester City centre. And of course very cheap! Half the price of most other budget hotels in the area.

New ZealandThe room is very cramped. There is no table, chair or anything in the room except a bed and a TV mounted high to the wall. There is not much space between the bed and the walls. I could not comfortably move around at all and had to keep all my luggage tidy so I could walk between the bathroom and the bed. I had to be careful where I placed my suitcase as to not obstruct a walkway or the room door opening. After having a shower I had to go out of the bathroom because there is not enough room to dry yourself. My room was right at ground level and opening the blinds even a little bit would expose my room, so I left the blinds closed during my entire stay. The hotel policy is that they do not do room service unless you stay longer than 3 nights, which is fine but unexpected. I had to ask the reception for new towels.
The staff were friendly and provided a map of Manchester suggesting places to go. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was easy to get to from the main train station. The Wi-Fi worked a charm even for online gaming. The room cards are wooden and very stylish looking.

United KingdomI felt slightly unsafe as there wasn’t always someone on the desk and you could go straight into the lift and onto the floors. Lift should be access controlled but even then it’s so busy so would be difficult
Staff member at reception was super friendly and got us an extra pillow each (you only get given one each with none spare in the room). Room was functional but tucked away on the 4th (top) floor which we appreciated. Owing to a mess up at a different hotel, we booked this last minute and arrived an hour after booking, with no problems.

Extremely helpful staff, beginning with check-in. Warm and friendly, aiming to please, and they checked out my room to make sure it was okay. Very central location, a 10-minute walk to the main train station and the central tram station. A good choice free, in town, for stay of a night or two.

IrelandA very minor thing, drinking water is only on the ground floor, I feel that it should be on every floor.
The location of this place was excellent. All the destinations are at a walkable distance from here. It is very close to the railway station, making it handy to reach this hotel from the Airport.

United KingdomUnfortunately I had the worst nights sleep here due to a constant noise created from some kind of internal pipes/water/heating. It basically sounded like I was inside a boiling kettle or a spaceship. I intended on letting the concierge know when I left but heard it outside of my room also, so assumed it was an issue throughout the hotel. (An edited note to the reply that I’ve received, the noise was coming from inside the hotel, the pipes or something, not from outside the hotel) My room was also ground floor on a main road so unfortunately couldn’t have the blinds open.
This is a great budget hotel in a fantastic location. Compact clean rooms with lovely exposed brickwork and a modern en suite, with tv and relatively comfy bed.
