Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

I actually booked The View for my mother to stay in while she visited us in Eastbourne. She had stayed once before when I got married there in 2015. Like me she loved everything about it. The room and panoramic view was just superb. Cleanliness was perfect and breakfast had a nice choice and was hot even if you went down for a slightly later time. Staff were so friendly and helpful which makes all the more enjoyable. Would highly recommend.

Breakfast was very good, one of the best hotel buffet breakfasts I have had.The room was fine, ideal for what I wanted but even though I had a view in the distance of the south downs, a sea view would have been good.

Everything was just perfect. Our 1st night we had no Hot water and we really needed a bath .as my husband had parkinsons .was disappointed with this .they said they had sorted the problem .but it wasn't sorted 😕 in the morning the water was hot.so ok again .I love this Hotel normally every thing is spot on .

United KingdomCustomer service was exemplary from beginning to end. Welcomed by a smiling porter who assisted with my luggage whilst I supported my elderly mother in her wheelchair. Wonderful sea view from balcony. Being able to bring my mother's breakfast up to our room with no fuss. Lovely breakfast selection. Lovely polite staff all the way through. It's an absolutely lovely hotel, and thank you for making our stay go smoothly.
