We stayed in room 7. The bed was very creaky, the towels for the bathroom were not the best quality and there was no bath mat. Given the shower was over the bath and the screen does not prevent water spilling on to the floor, I felt this was potentially dangerous

It’s a little tired at the edges, but could be fantastic. It has an amazing garden space, but it’s just not maintained properly. It is convenient for St Leonard’s and Hastings.

The hotel looks tired and could do with some renovation to refresh it a bit...the rooms are big, the location is good and there's a lovely big garden out the back, just needs some care and investment.

The view, and the member of staff on reception was very helpful and attentive. Big garden where you can have breakfast. Quiet location but close to Warrior Square

There appeared to be no heating in the bathroom, which could make it pretty uncomfortable in the winter. Breakfast was OK for the inclusive price, but the sausage was poor quality.

Good value. Friendly staff. Spacious room, but beds a little tired and only just comfortable enough. Reasonable complimentary breakfast, but little choice.

Very dated and seems like it could use a spruce up. Also there was a suspicious stain near the floor of the toilet which may have indicated poor quality cleaning.

First night: We were given a ground floor room and told that it was the only room available. We always request on our bookings NOT GROUND FLOOR, and would not have booked this hotel had we known at the time of booking. Breakfast was very basic.

Room and bed on second night (having been moved on our request, as we specifically requested NOT ground floor when booking but on arrival were informed that only ground floor was available due to being fully booked) was very good and comfortable. We would not have booked this hotel if we had been told that only ground floor rooms were available!

In the twin room one of the beds was very creaky every time I moved , I think it was the mattress. In the superior room the bathroom was a bit smelly and the toilet didn’t flush properly.

Lovely friendly staff, cosy and comfortable room. The rooms could do with a bit of a refresh but it was very comfortable overall, and I had a nice ensuite shower room. I was made to feel welcome and felt safe and peaceful during my stay. The location is great, only 5 minutes to the seafront and St Leonards Warrior Square train station, and 10-15 minutes walk to Hastings. Love the area!

The shower unit was difficult to use and sprayed water on the floor. The floor was not as clean as it colud have been. We reported that the sink plug did not work prperly.

None of the issues prevented me staying or negated the point of my stay, which was simply to have a bed. However, several aspects of the room needed updating, repairs, or cleaning. The radiator was not affixed properly to the wall and also had mould or black dirt along the top. It was clear from the windows that there was an issue with dampness as condensation was visible between the panes of glass. A slightly odd issue was that the bathroom tap was also far too sensitive/powerful, with a very fine line between a usable stream and being sprayed with water.

The check in was smooth and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was a decent size, the bed comfortable, and the free wifi was an excellent speed which enabled me to work during my stay.

The location was just up the hill from the seafront. The hotel served meals on the premises. The room was spacious and the staff were friendly and helpful.
