Large, sunny beer garden with outdoor bar at the rear, overlooking the Lancashire hills where we enjoyed our complimentary drinks on arrival. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful and we loved the well-appointed room with its contemporary decor and comfy bed. Will definitely return.

Not much car parking spaces Unable to call a taxi for us when leaving. Really need to have a card for taxis, so guests can call when checking out. Tried Uber, but was going to take 30 minutes 😢, eventually got a taxi by calling other local people. Was only cleaners when asking about calling a taxi!!

Very hot overnight with ac or fan. Noisy with windows open from road & refrigeration unit downstairs.

Great staff. Stylish but small room. Delicious dinner with fabulous views out to hills. Breakfast hamper adequate. Accommodated bike parking in bin, loading zone.

Great location and accommodation. Clean room, with iron and hairdryer provided, comfortable bed. Staff all very friendly. We had dinner in the restaurant on site. That's the second time we have eaten there and it's definitely recommended. Breakfast on Saturday morning was very good too. Great options, cereal, fruit, juices, coffee and a full cooked breakfast, with veggie option.

Just the bread in a plastic bag

It’s tough I know but the bread in a bag wasn’t great. Everything else wonderful and as expected. Still very much better value than staging at the Red Hall

We liked the warm welcome from all the staff at The Eagle and Child. We arrived and had a cool beer after a long walk. We checked into our room which was decorated to a high standard and had a very comfortable bed. The bartender/waitress, Kendal, was particularly helpful and friendly. Thank you.

See above the service charge this is not America pay staff a living wage and stop with the hidden charges.

Great facilities kind friendly staff with very tasty food. But beware the small print on the menu, ‘Optional’ 10% service charge on food and drink is added before you have a choice meaning you have to ask for it to be removed. They got my bill wrong three times (in their favour each time) when I finally got a bill showing the actual price of what I had it was such a relief I gave in and ignored the service charge.

Wonderful stay at The Eagle and Child in Ramsbottom! Comfortable bed, lovely room and amazing basket of goodies in the morning by way of the continental breakfast. The complimentary drinks at the bar and super friendly staff were the icing on the cake.

They only did cooked breakfast at the weekends. We didn't realise this and got a basket of cereals, yoghurts, fruit. It was fine, but I prefer a cooked breakfast. The room was very warm, and we had to open windows, but the road noise was bad, being on the main road. Could really do with a fan in the room in July.

Loved the gluten and dairy free food. Loved the staff. Loved the room and cooked breakfast on Sunday morning.

Lovely comfortable room, fantastic view and living roof in front of the window. Staff friendly and helpful. Good choice for breakfast. Beer garden beautiful.
