Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GibraltarThe lift was out of order and we had three very large suitcases as my daughter was going to Uni. Massively inconvenient. The beds and pillows were uncomforable and we couldn't open windows for fresh air. The aircon wasn't that good.

The rooms are up to a great standard. Modern well, decorated , pleasent view (even though you overlook a graveyard but you dont have to worry about any lights or noise atleast) and comfortable.

United KingdomSome cutlery was dirty which meant you couldn't trust the cleanliness of everything. I had upload a picture of my driving license or lose the booking. The system was totally automated so I couldn't speak to anyone about this. I felt coerced into handing over personal data without being able to trust where it was going and what it might be used for. This should have been made clear at the point of booking.

United KingdomFloor was not very clean, my feet were filthy after walking around barefoot. Bathroom couldn’t have been smaller. I didn’t realise when I booked the hotel that the location would feel like a 10 mile walk from the city centre as it’s at the top of what felt like a never ending hill😂
The bed was comfy and linen was clean. Having the fridge for our food and drink was brilliant. The TV was a good quality TV, we were very impressed as you don’t always get this in hotels/apartments.

KazakhstanMaybe it’s my fault, but I didn’t realise that I need to pay deposit to check in. You should be ready that you need to pay extra 150 pounds.
Beds were comfortable, little kitchen in the corner was very useful, but the desks were little narrow(small), so if you want to work from there, it may be little uncomfortable. However, for this price, Dwell City Living is very comfortable.
