The beds were really uncomfortable and one actually had a huge spring popping out of the side of it. Breakfast was really nice but would’ve preferred to choose what we had on the cooked breakfast and also found it really quite greasy.

I would book this just for the outstanding breakfast! It was amazing- really good selection! Delicious coffee and full English only £5 or £6 extra. The continental was perfect for us! We slept in a very comfortable 4 poster bed. Had a nice walk along the promenade. Would definitely book again if we returned.

I would suggest investing a little in the room, upgrading the TVs to a smart TV, blackout curtains in the rooms, bed was 2 singles pushed together so one was slightly higher then the other.

Location is ideal... 10min walk from the "main" stree, breakfast was brill for the extra price of it. The free continental was good but would defo recommend paying for the cooked breakfast.

WiFi kept dropping/disconnecting, more so when in the room, had to keep going in my settings to rejoin, otherwise was great when working properly

Not far from main street...and 5mins in a taxi to train station...staff couldn't do enough for you...nice clean and tidy....lovely continental breakfast something for everyone....or order a full English...definitely would stay again 😉

Not the hotels fault but room next door had tv on very loud until 4am couldn’t sleep maybe not put tv on joining walls or restrict volume on tv

The room we had, there was little room around the bed, going to the bathroom/toilet. We could not open 2 windows 1 in the room and 1 in the bathroom, as it was warm. Car on site would be easier also

The look was lovely, and it had outside seating, and just felt chilled. Friendly pleasant staff, and able to use iron and ironing board. Rally comfy sleep comfy bed was really comfy to. The continental breakfast was basic but exceptional,

Nothing! But just a couple of “suggestions” - The shower could do with a hand rail as it’s quite a step up into it ( well our shower was anyway!). A full length mirror would be nice.

Lovely hotel with a lift ( which really helps!) Great location, around the corner from the Main Street. The hotel itself has a lovely outside area to sit and soak up the sun…! The hotel itself has a conservatory where u can sit and eat breakfast and a bar for evening drinks! Prices are reasonable as well which is pretty unusual these days. The owner and staff were lovely, always ready to help.

Paid supplement for cooked breakfast which was nice. Ran out of filter coffee and fresh orange juice which was a little disappointing. Booked premium room which was nice enough but I would not describe it as premium in any way.

The breakfast service and cooked breakfast wasn't great. Uncooked black pudding, over cooked egg and struggled to get the attention of the staff to get sauce to go with our breakfast. I would probably stick with the continental breakfast if we were to visit again.

The room was spacious and really nice. Definitely worthwhile going for the castle suite. The beer garden was excellent, one of the best in southport!

Difficult to fault the hotel without being overly critical and the only disappointing bits were a couple of minor jobs that need to be done in the room's bathroom (light switch pull handle, toilet flusher and sink taps need a bit of attention).

The hotel is located at the south end of town and easily walkable to all of the town's facilities (park, funfair, supermarket, bars, pier etc). The hotel staff were very attentive and whilst room 15 may be a little more expensive than some others, it is definitely worth the money, with a four-poster bed and castle theme. The bed was very comfortable and the large bath and shower were refreshing. We stuck with the included continental breakfast, however, there were plenty of opportunities to have a cooked breakfast if we had wanted (£6/person extra). The continental was nice, with croissants, toast, cooked meat, cheese and more available. We will definitely be back!
