Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomGarden area was bit untidy and overgrown so we didnt sit outside. That said its that time of year when lots of flowers are past their best x
We had a fabulous weekend at Drake Cottage A real home away from home in a fabulous location. Cottage was exceptionally clean and cosy and we would definitely return if we decide to revisit Ironbridge area . One of our lovely neighbours recommended a visit to Bridgenorth when we mentioned we wanted to visit a local market ...as usual we came home with lots of plants for our garden x Enjoyed a tipple or two at The Boat Inn pub at the bottom of road ...definitely didnt need a taxi home !

United KingdomCan’t think of anything except the Wi-Fi didn’t connect with my phone, guessing it’s because we were down in the valley. All ok when we went out into the town.
Lovely quiet location, near the river and the pub! Lots of lovely walks. Our weekend there was a treat as it was our 50th wedding anniversary, didn’t fancy a party! Enjoyed visiting all the sights around Ironbridge. Thoroughly enjoyable weekend.

Clean and cozy cottage. Well positioned to do many walks around the area. Lots of places to take a pit stop for food and drink. The Ironbridge, Jackfield and Coalbridge area is very clean and has old world charm. Enjoyed meals at the Black Swan pub- fish & chips were delicious😋 The Woodbridge Inn evening meal and a breakfast were very good. Fabulous view of the Ironbridge from Darcys cafe. Elys pie shop and the conacle microbrewery all worth a visit.

United KingdomIt was a shame that the double bed mattress wasn’t very comfy and the handle on one side of the bed just was awkward when you sat on the edge of the bed to get out. That’s was the only down side.
The whole cottage was beautiful and decorated to a high standard with everything you needed. The location was perfect for walks and pubs nearby. Shower was good which was a bonus too as in someplaces they aren’t great. Just perfect

United KingdomNothing - perfect
What a gem of a place – if you read all the great reviews, they don’t do justice to the property, owners or location! The cottage was spotless and had everything to could imagine. It really was perfect home from home, great communication from the get go, we even got a message on the day of our arrival telling us that the property was ready and we could check in early (we didn’t as we had a full day planned on the way down). The location is perfect, with a number of pubs / places to eat within walking distance. Ironbridge is about 30 mins easy walk from the cottage. Very easy to find with the information supplied by the hosts. The local pub The Boat Inn is a full 45 second walk away and is amazing, felt like a local from the first time we went in (a very busy, dancing, DJ night going on). One of the locals found a seat for us – had a great night. They don’t do food, but plenty of other options close by – or go mad and cook in the kitchen at the cottage, it has everything you need including a dishwasher.

United KingdomNothing - everything was perfect.
This cottage is an absolute gem. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and very very comfortable. The location was also ideal for walking and exploring - we didn't need to use our car at all in the three days we visited. The host, Sarah, was a great communicator in advance of the stay, advising us about where to park safely due to flooding in the local area and providing tips for New Year entertainment in nearby Ironbridge. I'd love to return to explore the area more at a warmer time of year as it really is a wonderful location - we just timed our visit poorly with the storms!
