There was a mechanical noise that distubed our sleep. It was not possible to stop it or move our room.

Its a good model. Tastefully maintained period property, good sevice, good food. And they allow dogs (in some places only).

Spa area looking a little tired couldn’t get booked for any treatments . Changing area in spa very small

Beautiful grounds , clean spacious suite , gorgeous toiletries , friendly staff and very helpful , food was outstanding beautifully presented attention to detail was second to none . Very comfortable bed and pillows. Lovely areas to sit and have a drink . Extra special card and chocolates in our room on arrival as it was our wedding anniversary .

In room we found cobwebs behind radiators and in corners there was two broken tiles in bathroom and broken toilet roll holder and the light outside the door could be a lot stronger as could not see key hole when it was dark

If there was one thing I would say the bed was too hard.

Stunning gardens including a maze to walk around. Waking up to birdsong was a treat . The food is excellent and the restaurant is set out beautifully with candlelit tables for dinner . Small ‘no fuss’ spa that felt just right for us - pool , sauna,steam, jacuzzi. We didn’t have treatments . Great location for exploring Northumberland. The staff are warm, friendly and helpful and our stay at Doxford Hall felt special.

Not much choice for food, on a evening, although it was delicious no simple dishes or bar meals. Breakfast was excellent. Lack of seating areas on an evening, bar area used for meals & circular room had a Lack of tables/seating. Hotel extremely remote, nowhere to walk to, which may suit some people.

Style of hotel & decor was elegant, staff were lovely, beautiful grounds especially the maze. Good size room with a beautiful bathroom. Very dog friendly, (we didn't have one!) Which made the hotel feel welcoming! Didn't use pool or spa facilities.

Lighting in the bar & restaurant was too bright and the lights outside our room were on too bright & too long which lit up the room, even with the curtains closed

Location for Alnwick & Lindisfarne was excellent. The room was large & comfortable. Food was excellent with service to match. Loved the grounds but unfortunately, were unable to have a try at the maze.

Couldn’t use the pool area as the lift was broken and it needs updating Our room was grubby stained chairs bed head and carpet the shower in the bathroom had a rusty shower trap and old shower hose needs replacing also couldn’t turn off the heated radiator in the bathroom so had to close the door to the bedroom as was very very hot

Doxford Hall felt special from the moment we drove into the drive. The grounds looked amazing, a shame we didn’t have more time to explore. Staff were all lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. Rooms were lush - couldn’t have had a lovelier stay.
