Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomCan't think of anything in particular. It was a little confusing when we first arrived as we weren't sure wether we needed to check in.
Lovely area, very out the way. Driving around and walking around was beautiful honestly. We recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing get away in Northumberland x

United KingdomNothing really I can think off!
The location was brilliant. We felt quite central to the main areas we wanted to visit. Staying in a bell tent within a rural location was lovely. The view of the trees and sunflowers was really nice. The beds were warm and cosy and everything was super clean. The toilets/showers were only a very short walk away. We would definitely return.

United KingdomGood vibes here. Peaceful. Remote. Stayed in a Bell Tent and a Luxury Pod. The latter was a feat of engineering, making great use of every inch of space. Firepit and picnic bench for each pod. Friendly staff. A couple of walks nearby (3 or 4km), but plenty more a drive away (we did a circular of Wooler Common, 13km, 4hrs). Narrow roads to get here, with regular passing spots. Pizza from Embers was lovely (~£15 p/p, ~18min drive).

United KingdomA wonderfully peaceful site with well maintained facilities and beautiful surroundings. So much to do in the area as well. Being able to have fire/bbq starter kits dropped off was great too, we couldn't get ice for the cool box as their freezer was broken but found some at a services a few miles up the A1. The individual bathrooms were very clean and handy with having younger kids with us.

United KingdomWe stayed in the bell tents and they were fantastic, very comfy and cosy. My kids loved it. The toilet and shower facilities were very clean. It was a great location and so much on your doorstep, also great local walks. The owner was so lovely, and very helpful. We would love to come back. Great experience and adventure for the family. I would recommend looking on their actual website for more details about what they have to offer.

United KingdomI think for the price I’d expect some added touches. Only 1 hand towel to share, no shower gel or basic shampoo, no milk, and the pillows were lumpy and very uncomfortable. I think when you’re paying £200 p/b it’s up there with some very fancy hotels and these little things don’t make it worth the price.
I love the aesthetic, it’s very cosy inside. Really clean and very spacious. Love the outdoor space!

United KingdomMaybe an extra tea towel would be helpful as it takes a while to try but grasping at straws there! The map for the fairy trail also was a bit tricky to follow
This was our second time here and we stayed in the pod for 2 with a bath - it’s so well thought out and the decor is really beautiful. Great location with a short distance to a lot of local areas/attractions which the host had spent a lot of time highlighting in the handy information book. There is also some walks around the farm which was good for us with our reactive dog as it was a lot quieter than many of the local areas & beaches

United KingdomOnly suggestion I have is that you might want to consider adding a few standalone toilets, the 3 full bathrooms are lovely but wonder if they could get a bit busy in peak periods? Bell tent 4 might need a guy tensioning at the back as was a bit saggy in the wind last night but really all great only typing this extra bit so that it lets me submit the review!
Lovely location, very easy to get to Alnwick (main purpose of our visit this time) but also to lovely beaches just 5 mins away. Katryna and her kids were lovely and very friendly when we met them. The check in procedure was straightforward as she told us in advance which bell tent we would be in and we just parked up outside that. This is a small friendly site with really excellent bathroom facilities for families since it is essentially a full bathroom that you can all fit in to shower etc. Everything was clean, tidy and well labelled. The Bell tents themselves were spacious with a futon style mattress so comfy with some little night stands and small low table ideal for a game of cards inthe evening. Having a picnic bench and BBQ pit to each tent made cooking and eating very easy.

United KingdomHowever due to the picture used to sell via this site, we were NOT booked for the glamping pod as first thought * BOOKING.COM error NOT Doxford farm. Thankfully Doxford owners went to great lengths (emailed&clarified via telephone) to ensure we understood the actual type of accommodation booked Belltent¬ the picture used here by Booking.com.
The venue (Bell-Tent) staff & onsite facilities were outstanding, as well as the wonderful wild flowers & scenery.
