The toilet was very noisy when flushed and you could also here when other rooms flushed theres. I was a little annoyed when we came to leave and handed our key in and was told there was just the little extra to pay for from our meal on the first night and he had the print out from the till. I informed him that I had paid it at the bar that evening which luckily he believed me but it could have been a very awkward situation, just needs better communication from the bar staff.

The bathroom had a shower and a bath, good size room with good Wi-fi and TV. Excellent breakfast and evening meals. Very polite staff.

unfortunately, they had an issue with the boiler so there was not enough hot water. Offered use of showers in other rooms on final morning as waiting for engineers.

We had Room 203 which has a great bed was very comfortable. Faced the main road but quiet enough because of secondary glazing. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Furniture and fittings bit tired. Traffic noise during the night although this was to be expected due to the location of the Inn.

The only bad experience was just one barman who seemed to be in a bad mood. Slamming drinks down and rolling his eyes in a huff.....we felt that we were an inconvenience. How he is still employed is baffling. Our friends visited for drinks and they got the same treatment.

Lovely country inn with a nice pub attached. Lots of tables to sit outside. Friendly staff. Rooms nice and good to have nespresso coffee and bathrobes.

The beer garden was right outside the bedroom which was very off putting. Check out time is way too early.

Stayed here as we had an event at a venue nearby. Staff here were excellent and helped us out with taxis to and from the venue. The room was ok, we didn't like the fact the beer garden was right outside the window, a bit off putting. Also the breakfast was served at 8.30am specifically with a check out of 10am which is way too early for check out. We didn't make it to breakfast because I was highly intoxicated from the night before.

Sadly the taxi service in this area is very poor but no reflection on the hotel.

I booked an overnight stay with my husband as we were seeing Westlife at Scarborough Open Air Theatre. On arrival at the hotel the male on reception, I would class as a mature man, was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We arrived back from the concert at 1120pm when the bar had just closed, however the same mature man who initially met us was happy to open the bar and serve us with a couple of drinks for a nightcap. His service was exceptional and he certainly encouraged people to return to the hotel. The breakfast was extremely well cooked and the service was also extremely good. All in all we had a fabulous stay and will be returning for a longer next time.

Room 212 had the slight disadvantage of being below 211, and the hard floors result in noise transmission to the room below.

Unfortunately the shower was not great with very little pressure.

Staff very welcoming. One member of the housekeeping staff was particularly helpful with an issue we had. Full English Breakfast was more than adequate and I was delighted to have Eggs Benedict which isn't always available. Had an evening meal which was very generous.
