Felt a little rushed by housekeeping knocking in the morning. Especially when I confirmed check out between 10 and 11am.

The heating system, i.e., the radiator in room 135, was so noisy it was necessary to have it turned off . This resulted in room temperature being slightly lower than we would have liked.

My only comment would be the gap under the door which let a lot of light into the room overnight. I know some people do find that helpful in a strange place but personally I prefer it dark. Lovely room anyway.

The room was really well presented and very clean. The bathroom was much bigger than normal hotel rooms and also very clean. It was also lovely to have a little bottle of milk for tea and coffee. Lots of little touches that made my stay really enjoyable. I will be staying there again.

My only critique is that on the day of checking out, my room was knocked on twice by housekeeping, of course this is their job, but I was getting showered and ready at the time which could have been slightly awkward. I wonder if there is a way for the housekeeping staff to know who is checking out on which day so that residents aren’t disturbed until they need to leave the room. Very minor point though, cannot fault the stay otherwise!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, I stayed alone and they made me feel very welcomed! The food was also superb! Every meal I had was amazing!!

Although we paid for a superior room, there was no view, just a grass bank. There was not much fresh fruit on offer at breakfast and what we had wasnt as fresh as it could have been. We wanted to stay an extra day which we were told would be ok, but were going to be charged a bit more until we challenged that the hotel website was offering a better rate. We were then given the better rate.

Breakfast was ok, there was a good choice, not quite as good as previous visits. The swimming pool is very nice

Breakfast was expensive. The water in the spa Jacuzzi needed to be hotter. Also when asking about using the spa facilities on the day of checkout we were told we could only use the facilities prior to 11 am where as other hotels let you use on the day after checkout.

The cleanliness of the SPA facilties but wasn't a major issue and mainly due to the amount of guests I think. And, we only got 1 of everything in the room, i.e. one set of towels, dressing gown, slippers when there was 2 of us staying.

As stated previously, the SPA and reception staff went the extra mile and were very helpful and friendly which is extremley noticable nowadays. Also, good faciltites and nice room.
