Linens and towels felt a little dated and old so perhaps these could be updated. Generally the shabby chic look to the house was charming.

Location was excellent for Bath with a short drive or bus journey. Accommodation was spacious over 2 floors with separate living and sleeping areas. Breakfast in the orangery was so pretty as was the whole garden. Liked that there were no prescribed opening hours for the B&B and you could come and go as you pleased. Hosts were super friendly and helpful.

Not really a negative, but, as you'd expect, being an old house, there are some creaky floor boards, however, once you're used to them, they just add to the charm.

So much to love about this wonderful little guest house. The location, the ambience, the garden, the room, the breakfast, and lastly, the brilliant, and attentive hosts, Jayne, and George. You are made to feel very welcome, and I can't recommend Dolphin House enough. I will definitely miss breakfast in the Orangery. Bath is just a short bus journey away, and the local village has several friendly places to eat & drink in the evening,

There was nothing we didn’t like

Everything was really good. Lovely old house with quirkiness. The breakfast was lovely in the outside conservatory. Even a squirrel knocking on the window one morning. It was a good location close to Bath City and able to use public transport to Bath and return.

Floorboards in the room above made a real racket but given it’s a 17th century house I can’t really complain!

    Nothing

Feels like you’ve stepped back in time! The garden is beautiful and our room was very comfortable with a separate but private bathroom. Breakfast was served in the orangery which was a great setting on a sunny morning. So much more restful than staying in Bath itself. George and Jane were also amazing hosts and very welcoming.

    Nothing in particular.

A house full of charm and character, in a quiet location on the outskirts of Bath. We had our own lounge room, bedroom and bathroom overlooking the garden. Breakfast was included and was served in the orangery every morning. Several old pubs and places to eat are conveniently located nearby. Bus route into Bath city centre also nearby.

Jane and George are wonderful hosts and have decorated the house amazingly well. Would highly recommend this place over others - very tastefully done. It's accessible via public transport too and is located close to Solsbury hill for a quick hike

My only complaint would be the lack of carpeting, which meant we would often hear people moving about in the room above us. It was a bit of a shame but didn't keep us awake.

Jane and George were absolutely lovely, and their attention and care was what really made the stay special. The breakfasts were very fresh and tasty. The house itself is stunning, and the garden is beautifully maintained and such a joy to explore. The room was clean and decorated with both era-appropriate decor as well as paintings made by Jane herself, which were gorgeous! There are local amenities 5 minutes down the road with everything you would need, set in a idyllic countryside town. Overall, an excellent B&B that I would thoroughly recommend.
