Just small tweaks in the bedroom ie 2 blown uPVC windows, paper needed sticking back in places on the ceiling and behind the toilet was rusty just needed painting.

The hotel Normandie is in a great location very close to the beach.Our room was very clean and the housekeeping daily was very good.Just a few tweaks to update would make it one notch up.The staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was excellent,with lots of choice of hot and cold food.The pool area was warm and relaxing with a spa pool.The number 1 bus stops outside the hotel and it takes you into st helier and then you can transfer on very easily with an easy to navigate bus station.All in all an excellent holiday and we would definitely return to the Normandie good value for money.

A little worn down in places, curtain liner ripped in places at bedroom window, woken up on a few occasions by the noise and vibration from the shower in the next room as my bed head was against the wall of the bathroom

We had dinner in the same room as the breakfast, we would have preferred the pub room, more cozy.

It is close to the center of St Helier, I didn't expect a swimming pool, that was a nice surprise, we enjoyed it. The bay is quiet, the rock of Victor Hugo is just on the other side of the road, nice surprise. There is a direct bus to Gorey.

Nothing we did not like, but guests should know that the rooms are pretty basic, the shower is small, and the bath towels are smaller than I usually see in hotels.

The location was excellent!! Sea views, bus stop outside the door, next door to two pubs and a Thai restaurant … would stay here again for the amazing location! Definitely recommend upgrading to a room with a sea view!! We had one of the curved rooms on the front, and I loved the windows. They were beautiful and functional — we could open them all for a strong breeze or just a couple for gentler air flow. The towel warmer in the bathroom was a nice touch and warmed the entire room on a chilly night!

The room was very hot Couldn't open the windows as the traffic outside was horrendous. Very busy road for most of the night and early morning If you want a good sleep ask for a room not near the road ! Front of hotel gets the sun making the rooms very hot carpet in room very worn and musty smell.

Good location across the road from a beach (although not most picturesque of beaches) and right next to bus stop. Using the bus around Jersey was very easy and convenient.

The staff were very helpful & friendly, rooms had everything you needed. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast buffet, . Excellent location, regular buses to any where on the island, St Helier bus ride away I would recommend. !!!!!

Rooms were comfortable, great shower. Loved the location, the Thai restaurant opposite was incredible! Really lovely walk along the seafront to some great cafes in the morning. The breakfast was good, some nuts and seeds above the usual fare.

The noise from the bar. I asked for a quiet room and got a room where I could hear all the noise from the bar below. I had to wear ear plugs at night to be able to get some sleep. That I would say would be my only criticism. It was not as quiet as I would have wanted it to be.

The breakfast was good. Lots of options and as a vegetarian I managed well. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and a good size. Location was also very accessible for buses and beaches.

Toiletries provided were just the 1 wash for hair & body, but that seems to be a common thing for over here. It did smell really nice though. Would have liked decaf teabags in the room & anything other than Nescafé blend 43 coffee, but once again not sure if here they do sachets for other coffee. A glass for drinking would be nice, only mugs & 1 teaspoon in the room.

Good location, easy access to walk along beach or into town & bus stop right outside. Room spacious, bed & pillows super comfy. TV quality good,not a lot of stations to watch but that didn’t bother me. Shower pressure & temperature really good. Lots of sockets for plugs & USB chargers. Breakfast was so very very tasty. Great selection of hot, cold, cereals, yoghurts. I absolutely loved the potato hash browns, the tomato’s; the mushrooms & the croissant- all superb. Staff were not intrusive & very welcoming.

Unfortunately the jacuzzi was not in use. There was some noise coming from the kitchen, which was located below our room, in the mornings and evenings.

Some of the rooms are a little bit outdated.

The location was perfect. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely spa with swimming pool. Excellent food. Comfortable beds.
