Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe receptionist was amazing and very friendly and had a lovely time talking with her, but sadly we will not return after we found out after leaving that the reason there were no ground floor rooms was it was being used for immigrant families.
Basic hotel but was clean, no ground floor rooms left so my disabled wife had to use the stairs which is hard for here The room was basic but had all amenities available but again the wife was unable to use the over bath shower as no aids were available. The side of the bedframe was very mouldy and stained, bedding was spotless though, but I did receive a nasty bite on the back of my knee.

United KingdomBathroom is a bit tired. The toilet roll holder is in a stupid place, no space for it, every time you say on the toilet the rolls fell off. Location is fine if you stop at the services and not leave the services, but we had to do things that involved leaving the services. That was ok but then to get back to the services involved getting back on the M3 north of the services which was quite a drive.
Beds were comfortable, room was cosy, and clean. Winchester is a lovely place to visit.

United KingdomThe hole place needed a good tidy up with a paint roller that's all Quite awkward to get to you have to drive past 8 miles to next junction to come 8 miles back .. (we knew this before we booked ) ..
The days inn was ok .. set in a nice little spot just off the motorway next to a Costa and m/s ... with free parking.. the staff were very pleasant and helpful... the room was spacious and the bed was super comfy ... it was a cheap room for the night and did exactly what it said on the tin ... all in all for the money, not a bad place to stay

United KingdomThe ONLY issue I had was with the ensuite bathroom - it stank! It was a cross between dirty drains and damp. I tried running water down the drains to no avail and left the door ajar and the light on with fan running to try and clear the stench - again to no avail. All that happened was that the terrible odour started to invade the bedroom, making me feel quite sick. I closed the door to the bathroom but left the fan running and soon the bedroom was fine, no change with the bathroom though. I didn't go and ask for my room to be changed because it was late and I had unpacked before I realised the severity of the problem. However, if I kept the bathroom door closed it was okay. It's just so sad when everything else was nigh on perfect. I left very early and there was no one on reception, I did knock and call to let them know the problem but no one came so I just left the key and left the building.
The welcome was superb, a smiley, helpful receptionist and a clean, bright reception. The location is excellent, on a motorway services area and right next to the services entrance. The room was on the ground floor and close to reception as I had requested, which I was really pleased about. It was clean and comfortable and I slept well. Wi-fi and TV reception were excellent. I dropped my bags as it was getting a bit late and headed for the services to eat. Not a brilliant choice available but I survived.

CyprusUsed as a base to see Winchester - only takes 10mins to drive there from the hotel which is great - but double time to get back because you can’t connect from the services the opposite side which was a shame.
Was a good base for a couple days for our travel purpose. Had everything we needed and staff really friendly and helpful

United KingdomThe hotel is situated on the southbound carriageway. If arriving from the south you need to travel a long way north to the next junction to turn round to go back south. It didn't encourage you to go out for the evening due to the long round trip to get back. Likewise, when continuing your journey north you have to go south to the next junction to turn round and go north. Adds quite a bit to your journey times.
Although a bit jaded it served as an overnight stopover from Portsmouth Ferry Terminal. Staff were very friendly. Dog friendly but charge £15 per night Situated next to a Moto Service Station there was an M&S Food, Burger King & coffee shop. Hotel has a microwave in reception so you could buy a ready meal and heat it up.
