Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe actual flat is in the 3rd upper floor, with a narrow windy staircase inside the flat right behind the main door. Not a problem for young or middle aged adults, but definitely not suitable for elderly guests who don’t like climbing stairs or for little children who don’t like falling down the same stairs again. The WiFi was okay at some times, absolutely useless at most times.
Rooms were big enough for me and my family (5 adults). Cleanliness of the appliances was very good, floor cleanliness was okay. Got a full set of pans, pots, cups, plates and cutleries for home cooking.

GreeceWhen we did our reservation we did not know that the apartment was on the 3rd floor without a lift. The staircase from the 2nd to the 3rd floor was rather narrow for our suitcases.
The location was the best possible. Everything was 10 min max walking distance!!

United StatesThe stairs are not to be underestimated. This building is 250ish years old. While the apartment has been nicely updated, the structure limits how convenient it can be made. We carried 3 40 pound suitcases up 4 flights of stairs, and another flight of tight, corner-bending stairs up to the apartment. This by itself just about disqualifies this place for a future stay, though no fault of the owner. There was one small fan, but 2 bedrooms plus the living area; 3 fans would seem appropriate. The only way to get cool air into the apartment in summer is to open windows, which unsurprisingly admits flies, but no fly swatter was to be found (and the maintenance company confirmed that no fly swatter would be provided). The loo seat came off, missing a screw. The maintenance company came to repair it the next day, but a broken loo seat was included in comments in a review a year ago, so it seems that the issue has not been fully addressed timely. While having the parking pass was wonderful, finding a parking spot was a chore, no fault of the owner.
Darcy's Pride is located centrally and is convenient to most of Bath's major attractions. The photos give a very accurate idea of the interior of the apartment. The apartment is quite functional for 2 couples or a family of 4, and can accomodate up to 6 if the fold out sofa is used for sleeping. The beds were comfortable, and with the windows open at night the apartment cooled down nicely even on a hot summer evening. The parking pass was much appreciated.

United Kingdomnothing to report
The location was central in Bath and ideal for exploring the sights and had the benefit of permit parking very close to the property. Although my party thought it was great and we did not think this was an issue, I think elderly people or anyone with mobility issues may struggle with the number of stairs to the apartment particularly the last flight within the the apartment its self. We all agreed the beds were extremely comfy and would certainly recommend this as a place to stay.

United KingdomHad 3 flights of stairs up to the flat - and would definitely not be suitable for anyone with any type of disabilities - as was quite a trek with suitcases in tow..
Beautiful comfortable boutique flat. Had everything we needed. Was within walkable distance of nearly all of Bath and also in a lovely area with several small bars and restaurants nearby. Had a fantastic time at the property

United KingdomThe only downside is that the second bedroom is quite small. It has a king size bed in it, but it takes up almost the whole room! Certainly not ideal if 4 people were staying in the flat, but OK if only 1 person stays in the small bedroom. The other bedroom is a very good size, also with a king size bed and plenty of room to move around. The flat was very cold when we arrived, and as there was no one to show us into the flat we had to figure out how to work the heating, but this was not difficult. We just had to put up with being cold for a few hours, until the flat warmed up, however this is, after all, very much a 'first world problem'.
The location was really excellent - a minute's walk from The Circus and very near The Royal Crescent and the centre of the city. The decor was quirky and lovely and the beds very comfy.

United KingdomNo mention when booking of the steep stairs up to the apartment and I had my 82 year old Mum with me. 10am check out when most hotels are 11am. Had to strip own beds before leaving even though we had paid a £60 cleaning fee! Literature said they would charge £25 if all cups etc were not put away after washing. 2nd bedroom not a double as have to climb over one another to get out of bed.
Good location for visiting Bath and nice decor.

United KingdomDarcys pride is a very stylish apartment, but there are a few things that just we found very annoying. Firstly the second bedroom isn't really a double, you have climb over the bed to open and close the blinds. Secondly most of the door close heavily causing lots of noise. The windows are period so you can hear all the noise at night and there was lots of noise due to the ground floor being a bistro and bars nearby. Bathroom is very stylish, let down by toilet seat being very loose. There were lots of rules make sure you read them, they missed off needing you to strip the beds but they email you the day before to tell you to do it via email. Lastly, its a very dark apartment, even with all the lights on in the lounge and bathroom.
Darcys pride is in a great location, you can walk to everything easily. We had a disabled parking space right outside the door which was great. It's very stylish and the main bedroom is really big and there is a nice kitchen. Its a pleasant place to stay for a few days, wouldn't want to stay any longer.

United KingdomI went to a lot of trouble to find accommodation with parking and expected a parking permit outside the property. When we arrived there was nowhere to park and when I called the helpline number I was very rudely told that I should have read the ratings which showed there wasn’t any parking. Well, there was when I booked! The permit was removed later but nobody told us, if they had I would have cancelled!! There is no “front desk”; there is no mention in property details of the fact there are 60 steps up to the property, including some tight cornered ones near the top. Bad enough just walking up and down but a nightmare with luggage! The beds were rock hard and the second bedroom was so tiny that you can’t walk past the end of the bed! We couldn’t get the hob to work and FYI as a matter of health and safety it should be mentioned that it is an induction hob. In case you didn’t know, induction hobs are dangerous to anyone with a heart pacemaker - which my husband has. The bath towels provided are so small they barely wrap around you, not what I expected at this price. The hinges on the toilet seat were broken, making using the loo an unpleasant experience! Finally the freezer section in the fridge was so iced up that we couldn’t use it Overall we did not enjoy our time there and do not recommend
The location. The apartment was clean
