United KingdomThe room had spiders in there and cobwebs and bathroom could do with upgrade, the shower was not hot nor powerful. Dinners were bland for me but my child enjoyed the kids menu.
Beautiful grounds with model village there too. The ducks were a nice addition and so cute they flew up to the dining room and sat next to us on roof while we ate. Beautiful big hotel room as well. The breakfast was delicious so much variety.

United KingdomThe pool, sauna, steam and gym area could benefit from a refresh. Such a great facility just giving this area an uplift would make this hotel extremely desirable.
The Damson Dene hotel is in a truly beautiful location and only a 10 minute drive into Bowness. The hotel itself is lovely with beautiful views from the bar and restaurant. The reception and bar and restaurant staff were 5 star. They were all so friendly and helpful and made our visit feel very special from arrival to departure. The spa treatments with Sharon were fantastic, a wonderful therapist and lovely treatment room. Breakfast and dinner were excellent with lots of great choices. This place is a real gem.

IndiaWe came 5 minutes early from our dinner booking time and we wanted to order food for our crying kid. But the staff refused to take the order as they said the kitchen is too busy. Very rude. One of our rooms had the bathrub getting waterlogged plus there was no phone in that room.It was a very basic room. The room service dint vaccum the carpet when we came back it was still the same.

A great hotel in a beautiful rural location. Booked a twin room and got 1 double bed and 1 single. Very comfy beds. Spacious room with views over the gardens and the lake. The bathroom had a very large shower, with non-slip mat thoughtfully provided. The hospitality tray was well stocked too. Breakfast was amazing. In fact the cooked buffet breakfast was the best I have had in a hotel. We stayed 2 nights and ate in the hotel both nights. Very interesting menus. All the staff - reception, bar and dining room - were very friendly and efficient. In fact, they actually seemed to enjoy their work, which is a rarity nowadays. Thoroughly recommend and hope to stay there again

United KingdomNo fresh choices for sweets after evening meal. eg fruit salad or similar. Standard cold sweets were the same every night. My room was on the lower ground floor at the end of a very long corridor which included a flight of stairs. It was a long way to carry the luggage from the car and the stairs were steep to carry the case up.
Beautiful location with plenty of parking. Quiet room though hotel quite full. Comfortable room with large bathroom.

United KingdomRoom 37 smelled if cigarettes when we entered the room. The duvet cover had rust on them for room 37. I asked for air freshener for the room, it didn't show up. Although the room was sprayed but the smell was still there. We had to leave the windows open for the evening to get rid of the smell. Steam room not working, disappointing. Some machines in the gym not working too, rusty as well. Could do with a slightly bigger room for the gym. It does the job though. The jacuzzi water not as hot. Was also disappointed by the spa lady who could not give me an appointment despite requesting in good time.Pool water too cold.
Breakfast was good. However, please provide fresh fruits which are healthier than tinned. The scrambled egg presentation and taste is not good. The sausages would do with variety.
