We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We arrived for a weekend and hoped to completely relax. The bed was soooo very comfortable and the room was lovely for 2 adults and 2 spaniels. Unfortunately, we were woken by a cockerel crowing around 4.30am and would have preferred a quieter room as it unsettled our dogs and kept us wide awake for hours. The place however was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The decor was beautiful as was the immaculate B&B. The only downside was there was no garden to let dogs out during the night but the village is very quiet, so it wasn't a problem. There is a nice but very short walk at the side of the building for pets to get out and about before settling down for the night. Birdoswald was a lovely English Heritage place to visit and close by with a cafe for lunch and a nice coffee which was perfect for a very long walk with dogs. We didn't have breakfast here but would have loved an evening meal if it had been an option. We had fish and chips locally instead. Packed lunches are available to collect for a day out and shops aren't too far away.

We had just finished a day of hiking Hadrian’s Wall Path when we arrived. The owner was VERY nice. The B&B looked like it had been recently renovated. Everything was just right.

United KingdomAmazing place to staff. The entire place was so luxury down to every detail. Clare was lovely and welcoming and was able to accommodate me arriving early. I was walking Hadrian's wall and unfortunately I had forgotten to waterproof my boots. Clare was extremely kind and found me some of her waterproofing wax which helped a lot as it rained the next day! It was a lovely place to stay and I would stay again if I'm coming back. Clearly the hosts care a lot about giving guests an enjoyable experience. Only advice is to make sure you book where to eat as this is a BnB. The Samson inn is the only place which does dinner and can get booked up quickly.

the room and property were superb with a drying room for wet clothes and boots, a lounge and self service bar for guests. the breakfast had everything you could want and was excellent quality and well presented! Claire provided us with packed lunches, refilled our flasks and water bottles as we were walking Hadrian’s wall.

House was beautiful and rooms super comfortable. Breakfast was first class well presented and cooked and lots of choice. Owners were very friendly and helpful and made you feel very welcome. Our dog was treat exceptionally well with everything he needed. Loved the lounge and honesty bar which had a wide selection of drinks to choose from.

Dacre House was a fantastic find - beautiful property in a lovely village. The décor was incredible - every little detail had been thought of. The breakfast was incredible - such great quality local products. The location of the property was also great for exploring the local area - particularly some of the impressive sections of Hadrian's wall. Next time I will stay for longer!
