Owner of the house lives next door and was very helpful when there were questions. He had some nice tips on places worth visiting as well. The table football in the cellar was a very nice extra.

We loved the old house, especially my 11 year old, spacious, clean, everything you need, entertainment provided, internet and even Alexa and Netflix, Nick was so kind to let us use them, thank you!loved it that was a parking space just in front of the house, the house is located just as you go up the hill. Some people mentioned a small couch in the dinning area but my daughter loved to cuddle up and have a cup of tea while watching tv ,we didn’t mind using the chairs which were comfy enough.Another thing I loved is that is a very good location if you want to explore the area, we went to Bala Lake and Llangolen, both 20 min drive, or Carrog only 5 min drive.Amazing stay, we made some good memories, thank you!

We came up for just a night for a family occasion. We found Cynfaen House to be a lovely 'home from home'. It's a comfortable, quirky house right in the town centre. It's decorated in country cottage style, but with all mod cons. I loved all the little thoughtful touches, such as the board games and table football in the bar-style basement. The owner Nick was friendly and helpful, and just next door should there be any queries. It was also exceptional value. I'd definitely recommend it for a family stay and would stay again.

There are a number of quirky items / paintings around the house, which add character, but do make it feel very much like your in somebody else's house (which is kinda the idea of AirBnB), best to think of it as an experience stay. The TV and sofa in the living room don't lend themselves for relaxing, due to the hardness of sofa and the angle of TV. There is a big soft sofa in the basement but with having little ones we didn't want to use that one when they were asleep in bed. A little rejigging, or putting TV on an arm could make a big difference.

Friendly host. Property as described, a very homely feel, a lot of kitchen equipment available, Tea, coffee and milk available on arrival, along with condiments. Hairdryer and a lot of media stuff available. A nice walk up to a view point from property. Reasonable proximity with car to a number of touristy areas.

Very minor complaint but a comfy sofa would have been amazing in the living room. Again very minor and not really a complaint as the sofa that was in there was adequate!

Really cozy little home from home. Loved the cellar! It was 30° when we stayed and it was lovely and cool!! Loved the laidback feel of the place. We spent a lot of time at bala Lake, around 20 minute drive away.

The access to the cellar for the games room and the sofa in the living room was very uncomfortable to try relax on .

We enjoyed how quirky and liked how all the old features of the cottage had been retained.
