Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicNo ventilation nor air contition available, when opened the window, terrible noise from the outside. Lickily I had earplugs. Older equipment, but still in acceptable conditions.
Great location, tiny, but nice.

NetherlandsThe room was on the 3rd floor by stairs. It was facing the street, which was a bit too noisy. It’s a busy area with lots of cars, buses and there is a hospital very close to it. I could hear the ambulance quite a lot. But this was not much a thing. The room is very small, for a couple of days is ok but not for longer stays. The tv is quite basic, no Netflix. But this is a minor thing.
The location is perfect, 3 min walk from King Cross International station, metro and train. Close to Camden Town, many food stores and restaurants. The room was small but comfy, the shower was warm and good stream water pressure. There was a kettle with coffee/tea/sugar and a cup/spoon for a quick breakfast. It was very clean, with cleaning room service. The staff was helpful and friendly. I asked for an extra towel and that was ok. And by arrival I was a bit too early but that was no problem, they hold my luggage and sent me a message when my room was ready. They even took my luggage to the room! 😊 Great value for money!

United KingdomThe twin room was small (as you can see in the pictures) but big enough for two adults.
Friendly staff, room was very clean, choice of restaurants nearby and so close to the station. The room was in the basement but I didn't find the rumbles from the underground disturbing.

RomaniaRoom: * It was indeed extremely small. * We also had an issue which I forgot to bring up at the checkout with the bathroom door which was not closing properly and would leave a gap to the room (Room 16). The bathroom vent would not stop when closing the light and with this gap we could hear it all the night. I recommend using a sanding paper on the top of the door to remove some material so the door could close, the reason seemed to be the swelled wood door so try and remove some of the material would surely do the deed. Noise: * You can hear people on the hallway as if they're in the room. Happily, there are not usually people on the hallway :D * We had a room with a view to the back of the hotel, so no street noise, but there are a lot of AC units there which for some reason were on and audible the whole night. Combined with the bathroom vent it was a nice symphony (though if you're tired you won't hear any of them, trust me)
Location: It was excellent, we could walk most of the London attractions and after a tiring day we had lots of pubs within a 5 minutes walk for a nice pint (Recommend Lucas Arms for the best Fish and Chips we've had and The Euston Flyer for watching football with a beer) Cleanliness + Staff: The staff was very nice and helpful, we could leave the luggage at the hotel before checking in and after the checkout. They were also very attentive to clean the room and every night we'd find the room cleaned and towels changed Room: No issues with the hot water, a hairdryer and nice amenities like hot coffee/chocolate (using a boiling kettle). The beds were comfy. Access: You get two keys, one for room and one for opening the hotel door after 12AM. No issues with coming in late. Value: The value is just excellent, for the money I don't think you can find such an overall good experience

MaltaThe room is a bit cramped and no Windows for outsiede. Very small shower and toilet room. It is a bit noisy even at night as we could hear the train passing every few minutes. ¹
It is located next to one of the most connected tube station, King's cross St. Pancras and we could reach the makn attractions in London within 15 to 20 mins by tube. Although the check-in was in the afternoon, we arrived in the morning and they gave us the room earpy so that we could settle down and leave our luggage. Staff is very helpful. Place was clean. Towels changed everyday.

FranceOur bedroom was downstairs so we had no light. We heard the tube everytime. When people smoked cigarettes outside we could smell the smoke in the bedroom. The journey probably would have been different if we had been upstairs. We would have prefered that the owner tell us that we have to pay to leave our luggages for the day. We learnt it when we got our luggages back. All the comments thank the hostel to let them leave their luggages..but all hostels do that !!! People forgot it because of Air Bnb but it s the minimum for an hostel. No need to be thankful
The situation. The owner was very nice
