Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWent to get breakfast on the second morning at the Sound Bar….no staff, nothing? So not used the 25% offer 🤷♀️ Woken at 12am by gas alarm going off! Poor staff member having to explain that if it didn’t stop then we would have to move rooms, not easy with two sleeping children! Family room smaller than expected, travel cot squashed in is not practical.

United Kingdom- Tried calling the front desk multiple times for new towels (we opted out of room cleaning that day). They didn't answer once--I made 3 attempts over a two hour period. So I had to go down to the front desk myself to make the request in person. They did apologise for it, but it was a little annoying.

GreeceBreakfast area, facilities and choices. Our room was included to the private lobby. After our check out we were not able to stay to the private lobby for half an hour until our taxi arrive. We did not like this reaction at all, although we stayed 5 nights and we paid a lot of money.
Room - spacious, clean, terrible view Location - very practical, central, ability to walk around Breakfast - did not like the area, it was in the basement, not good air cleaning and circulating, we left the breakfast area and our clothes smell bacon.

Isle of ManThere was a weird smell (toilet smell) as you first enter lobby but hopefully this is temporary. The breakfast was on the expensive side at £20 per person and I didn’t feel it was worth the money but I’m not sure if the price is the norm for the area.
Modern comfy hotel in a great location. Not noisy which surprised me with it being in a busy location. The restaurant meals were nice and a good size. All staff were very friendly and always greeted you in passing. They always do late check outs if you ask which was useful.
