Poor mobile reception. Nobody at the reception, had to go to the camp site next door. Still no-one there but the key was accessible.. Had hoped to have different style pod like a Hobbit house.

Pod contained everything we needed for eating. Mattress fairly comfortable. Pull out table for eating on

Sofa beds not comfortable for sleeping & grass cuttings should be collected instead of being munched to stop the mess in glamping pods & toilet/shower block. Hook or rail to hang a wet towel would also be handy.

Bad heating on the first night where we suffered a lot, not being able to sleep. We spent half the night trying to keep warm and other half in our car. There were no bedding covers or duvet or proper pillows which we were unaware of, would have been better if we knew it beforehand.

Amazing place with spectacular scenery, mountains around the pods, water stream on the side, the greenery and the peace.

Would have liked a toilet in pod , but you can't have everything !!!

If you love camping you will love this glamping pod. We stayed in Hob3, very welcoming lovely and warm when we arrived, although small it had all the basic essentials, kettle, microwave, fridge crockery, basin, cloth and dish towel provided. Managed to microwave meals at night that i brought with me from my freezer in a cool bag . Fridge although small was ample to store basic foods, milk ,butter etc. Toilets and showers very clean, no issues at all , just a short walk away. Please note you need to bring a container to get water from the tap outside or bring you own bottled water. Also own bedding & towels needed too .All in all a great warm welcoming pod at the end of a day hillwalking .A total upgrade from a tent !!! Heating , electricity ,terrestrial TV .😊

The taps in utility room is poor. No hot water to run. Confuse where to park vehicles. Caravan have parking next to each other but confuse to where Oct 1 location and the three hut on the other side. Oct 2 and 3 have their own parking space.

Lovely location, quiet, relaxing, not too far for toilet, shower and laundry. Walk down lock Tay good. Washing and tumble are fantastic for those who stay longer. Surprisingly the bed was comfortable. Hut had heating when get cold. Ideal for hiking than young family as surround by mountain where toddler notice travel far out.

    - Check in at 3-4pm but reception closed at 5pm. - No bedsheets or blankets but the camping guard helped us. Maybe it was my mistake to assume it would have them but it is like this in the 99% of the csses in booking, so you should explicitly say it.

    - Camping guard was very very kind. He gave us bedsheets and a sleeping bag. - Really cheap

Comfortable & authentic “glamping” pod in the Highlands

Whilst we were very happy with the pod, it is worth mentioning a few things which others may want to take into account, which weren’t very clearly advertised to us: 1. You need to bring your own bedding (we brought sleeping bags & pillows) 2. There is no path up the moderately steep slope to the cabin, and the track in the campsite is muddy (as to be expected for a remote Scottish location) - these were both slippery in the rain, so walking boots/wellies would be helpful, and I wouldn’t recommend this for someone with mobility issues 3. The bathroom & showers are in a separate block 100m away down the track 4. The keys for the pod are collected in the site next door (Loch Tay highland lodges) 5. There aren’t obvious parking spots for the “hobs”, and we parked by the (empty) camping area, next to the shower block - this may be an issue in the busier summer season Overall, if you know what to expect, this place is excellent value for money, and great way to get closer to Scottish nature!

The cabin provided shelter on a night when our plans to camp were discouraged by rain, and we were very happy to have the heating, basic cooking facilities, and a solid roof over our head. The few staff members we met were happy to help. The campsite is in an excellent location surrounded by mountains, and we were well rested to climb some of these the next day!

It wasn’t clear really where you check in, it seems for the camping you check in on site. but for needing to get a key, you have to head over to the other site further along the road and then come back to the cruachan site. Which although not the end of the world, just a bit faffy! The facilities are in need of a little TLC, they were just okay… inside the ‘Hob’ could definitely do with some little hooks to hang things! Very annoying there’s nowhere to hang towels once you’ve used them so that they can dry.

The location is great, it’s got wonderful views and Loch tay itself is just stunning. A walk down to the loch is easy but harder coming back up! We stayed in a Hob, and it was just so cute! What wasn’t so cute was the huge spiders that had made their home in the top. A regular hoover would be needed up there as there were so many cobwebs! But we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it’s so so peaceful and it’s great for the price, does what it says on the tin!
